The Katy Jordan Warriors had an impressive 2023-24 season going 28-10, flying under the radar as one of the more underrated 6A programs in Texas. Starting strong with a 9-1 record, the Warriors went on two significant win streaks: five straight to open the season and four more after their first loss. They finished third in their competitive district with a 12-5 record and made an impressive playoff run, reaching the Regional Quarterfinals, where they fell just one basket short of advancing. With an entire roster of returning players, the Warriors' chemistry and drive to complete unfinished business will be their strengths heading into the new season.

His offensive wizardry never ceases to amaze me. Black has been one of the most dynamic facilitators in the state for some time now, constantly elevating the play of his teammates as he consistently displays impressive playmaking skills against all levels of competition. This prospect has the rare ability to be a game-changer every time he has the ball in his hands. Black's composure and court vision is what sets him apart and makes him one of the top point guards in the state. Although he completed his junior season as the Defensive Player of The Year and a 1st Team All-District player, I believe he has so much more in store and could be saving his best season for his last.

[player_tooltip player_id='1225695' first='Jaden' last='Holt'] carried the scoring load for the Warriors last season averaging 14 points per game to go alongside his 3.6 assists, 3 rebounds, and 1.4 steals. Holt tallied nearly 500 total points at 43% clip with a season high of 32 points against Cinco Ranch. He went on to finish the season as a 1st Team All-District honoree. Holt is a blur with his full-court speed, often creating multiple transition opportunities a game. Very shifty style of dribbling marked by crossovers, changes of direction, and stop-and-start moves. Holt's knack for pull-up jumpers also adds another dimension to his scoring, making him a versatile offensive threat.

Not only does Ryan Fadika makes his impact felt on the scoreboard but his presence is also noticeable on the glass as well, consistently leading the Warriors in rebounding last season with 6.2 per game. Fadika delivered 3 double-digit rebounding performances and 2 double-doubles, both stats which are expected to double if not triple this upcoming season. Fadika shows a smooth turnaround jump hook and a keen sense of how to use contact to read his defender's positioning. With a soft touch around the rim and an ability to finish through traffic, Fadika's offensive game in the paint will be tough to stop. He was named a 2nd Team All-District player last season with a great chance of being on the 1st team as the upcoming year concludes.

[player_tooltip player_id='2338953' first='Jude' last='Oluokun'] was the defensive anchor last year who led the squad with 1.3 blocks per game not to mention his 5.7 rebounds that went along with it. Oluokun has a natural instinct for rebounding and disrupting plays, consistently getting a hand on the ball whether securing boards or interrupting the opposition's possession. His timing and aggressiveness in the air are complemented by well-timed cuts down the lane, making him a key factor in both cleaning up missed shots and contributing on offense as an easy passing option. Jude is also another returning senior after being named to 2nd Team All-District honors last season.

Outlook for 2024-25:

With an entire roster of returning players, the Katy Jordan Warriors have high expectations for the upcoming season. Their core players, including Black, Holt, Fadika, and Oluokun, bring experience, chemistry, and talent that could propel them to a deeper playoff run. If they continue to improve, Katy Jordan could emerge as a serious contender for a state title in 2025 playoffs.
