SAN DIEGO — Aaron Burgin's annual Creme of the County (COTC) features class-by-class, San Diego-centric showcase style games with the best prospects in the area filling the gym. The COTC kicked off Saturday morning at St. Augustine high school and featured 11 games. Below we take a look at the wings and forwards who jumped on our radar.

[player_tooltip player_id='1903782' first='Ayden' last='Horn'] | Rancho Buena Vista

I thought Horn did a really nice job of finding ways to impact the game as a player who didn't have the ball in his hands as much as he probably would have liked. The 6-foot-5 senior was an offensive rebound machine and finished physically through contact on those second chance opportunities. Horn made his imprint on the game with his effort and energy, which is great to see in a showcase style event.

Davaughn Hueitt | Mater Dei Catholic

Like his brother Darius, who we mentioned in our On The Radar guards piece, Davaughn made his way back to San Diego from Texas and will be one of the more athletic big men in the region. The 6-foot-9 forward is long, wiry, mobile and bouncy around the rim, which resulted in numerous high percentage finishes offensively and the ability to change shots around the basket as a rim protector.

[player_tooltip player_id='2119968' first='Dylan' last='Griffin'] | University City

Griffin is a strong, physical downhill attacking wing who uses his broad shoulders to initiate, absorb and create space from defenders to finish off paint touches. The 6-foot-4 senior has plenty of perimeter skill to his game, as well, as he knocked down three-point and mid-range jumpers off the catch and off the dribble. Griffin could be one of the biggest sleeper prospects in SoCal and our updated 2025 rankings will reflect that when they release.

Gael Villavicencio | Vincent Memorial

The 6-foot-7 stretch five man hails from a small town on the border of California and Mexico and his lack of exposure to scouts and media types was erased on Saturday. The senior has a long, wiry frame and plenty of skill to go along with it. Villavicencio knocked down catch-and-shoot and pick-and-pop threes at a high rate and showed mobility and touch as a rim runner in transition.

Jamell Wiley | Lincoln

Wiley is a 6-foot-4 slasher with a quick burst of speed out of his triple threat and great acceleration when getting downhill for paint touches. The senior is best as a finisher off of those drives but also showed a smooth and balanced off-catch three-point shot. Wiley is another sleeper type prospect in the San Diego area's senior class.
