Two teams that are still good but have a different look. With the departure of 4-year staples like Brody Kozlowski and Tiger Cuff a new set of players will emerge.

American Fork will lean on [player_tooltip player_id='2089441' first='Jax' last='Clark'] as a mobile hybrid player that can work in the perimeter and can also work with his back to the basket. Clark has really developed his physical style of play and is starting to really come into his own. He is getting help this year from [player_tooltip player_id='1439711' first='Bryce' last='Mella'] a move in that is leaving Mountain View and has elite skills playing 1-3 at his old school. Mella is a D1 prospect that will fit in nicely at AF. Cale Flinders will get a shot at lead guard and he is actually very skilled. This game will be a battle at PG. [player_tooltip player_id='2536830' first='Emmitt' last='Red'] is another guard that will get run in the backcourt. [player_tooltip player_id='1724369' first='Jax' last='Oyler'] will be a key shooter on this team.

Corner Canyon returns one of the best backcourts in the state in [player_tooltip player_id='1190620' first='Bryton' last='Valdes'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1190621' first='Noah' last='Bendinger']. They both have next level potential and the best aspect about their skills is that they both translate to the college game. They will need more production from other players making their way up like [player_tooltip player_id='1278437' first='Tyler' last='Mortensen'] and Mo Brown as well as [player_tooltip player_id='1724355' first='Diesel' last='Dart'].

Westlake vs. Bingham 11/22/24

Two teams with potential will meet up real early in the season. They have solid guard pay that will be on display in this one. Both teams have similarities and project similarly as well.

Bingham will have a marquee player in [player_tooltip player_id='1278436' first='Luke' last='West'] but the have some role players that could elevate their game this season. The Miners are not the biggest team in 6A but they have some length. [player_tooltip player_id='1146657' first='Jason' last='Peterson'] looks stronger and more agile. If he can stay healthy he will be a solid 3 or 4 man when needed. You also have the emergence of Parker Sneadeker who will surprise some people with his quickness and finishing ability. This team can play up and down and they can also play in the half-court. Look for them to mix it up early!

Westlake has a solid backcourt in [player_tooltip player_id='1476918' first='Graydin' last='Anderson'] and Symon Su'a. Both players have really blossomed over the past few years. Anderson has wiggle with simple moves and he is a player you have to defend with care or he will score and pick you apart like a QB. Su'a uses a lot of power but his shooting has really taken shape these past two years. This will be a superb early matchup. [player_tooltip player_id='1571764' first='Kyler' last='Hadfield'] really sowed a lot of grit last season as an undersized big that was ale to use his quickness and strength. This year we will see Westlake be as Physical as ever.

Layton vs. Skyridge 1/7/25

These two teams are both turning into programs that learn how to reload with different pieces and it is because they are both so well coached.

Skyridge will have a platoon of guards to throw out there and play fast. They have sets for days but can also simply get up and down the floor. The player everyone is excited to watch play is [player_tooltip player_id='1164725' first='Jordan' last='Kohler']. Kohler has come a long way from his freshman year. He has really taken to his skill development and his footwork and work ethic will be on display this season. He is a next level 3-man that could score off the bounce and with his back to the basket. [player_tooltip player_id='1278434' first='Davis' last='Fyans'] is among one of the lead guards that will get a turn out there on the floor, he is a speedy guard that is a true PG . [player_tooltip player_id='2346735' first='Ryder' last='Gentry'] is one of the players we are excited to see, He is a sleeper prospect in the Class of 2026. Look for him to have a big impact on both ends of the floor in this game.

Layton has been lucky to have so much talent come through in the past few years and this year is no different. The development of [player_tooltip player_id='1724368' first='Karter' last='Miller'] is great and he is a player that can create for others and get his own with balance. Sam Romar is set to have a big year for Layton, he will be tough one to deal with this year with his size and skill. [player_tooltip player_id='2244581' first='Josh' last='Checketts'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1942223' first='Jonah' last='Fullmer'] will be togh as well. The thing that makes Layton tough is that they can go deep on their bench if they need to.
