After a full spring and summer of club basketball and some high-level individual and team fall events, we updated our Southern California rankings for the class of 2025. We added 25 players to the rankings and a handful of prospects made big leaps up the rankings' ladder. Below we break down the top stock-rising forwards and centers in our latest update.

[player_tooltip player_id='1630627' first='Tae' last='Simmons'] | Heritage Christian | Previous: 9, New: 6

Simmons received a small but significant bump into the top six of the latest rankings and it's because of his consistent production with scoring and rebounding. The 6-foot-7 forward has some throwback power forward feel to his game with his combination of strength, physicality and explosive athleticism and that should translate well to San Diego State upon completion of his senior year. Simmons' bruising style of play results in him being a double-double threat in each and every game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1630640' first='Peyton' last='White'] | Crespi | Previous: 22, New: 9

White is a prospect who has continued to evolve his game over the course of his high school career. The biggest improvements made by the recent Nevada-commit are with his jumper as he's upped his consistency from three point and mid-range areas of the floor. White is still one of the premier power finishers around the basket with his combination of strength, vertical athleticism and willingness to play bully ball on the interior. White is an every day guy who brings effort, energy, toughness and a high basketball IQ to the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='1630630' first='Dallas' last='Washington'] | Santa Margarita | Previous: 30, New: 19

There is no denying the amount of skill and talent that Washington possesses at 6-feet-9. The Long Beach State-commit steps out and knocks down open three-point shots, has the ball skills to create for himself and teammates off the dribble and his size, length and athletic pop make him a threat to slash and finish in transition offense. Over the last few years at Santa Margarita, Washington has developed some inside game, too, which I believe will be his ticket to being a versatile offensive threat at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='2119932' first='Danny' last='Kennard'] | Foothill | Previous: 41, New: 37

Kennard has a skill-set that Division I programs look for in their big men. The 6-foot-10 center is a versatile offensive threat who can score with touch with his back to the basket, knock down face-up jumpers off the catch, catch, gather and finish fluidly out of ball screen action and has the ball skills to execute dribble hand-off or "get" type actions in half-court offense. Kennard's bump was a small one, but he played his way into the top 40 nonetheless.

[player_tooltip player_id='2404087' first='Mason' last='Hodges'] | San Juan Hills | Previous: 77, New: 45

Hodges is the biggest stock raiser in this group by far. The 6-foot-7 forward found himself a great club team fit with Gamepoint's 3SSB squad and his recruiting stock received a significant bump because of it. Hodges is a skilled and high IQ lefty with a nice mix of traditional and modern skill in his game. The Orange County-based senior is a dribble, pass and shoot threat at the small-ball five spot who also has great feel and touch in back to the basket situations. Hodges is patient with his low block touches and uses his elite footwork and vision to create for himself and others.
