NORWALK — West Coast Elite held its annual Elite 100 showcase camp at Cerritos College and featured more than 100 prospects from the Southern California area. Below are five guards who jumped onto our radar.

Abdel Shamseldin | 2025 | Inglewood College Prep

Shamseldin showed that he has great feel as an isolation scorer. The 6-foot-2 combo guard is a shifty ball-handler who changes direction quickly and accelerates into the lane where he can finish craftily around defenders.

[player_tooltip player_id='1956528' first='Joseph' last='Riggins'] | 2026 | Fairfax

Riggins was one of the more well-rounded scorers in this event as he had his perimeter jumper dialed in from both three-point range and mid-range. The 6-foot-2 scoring guard flashed fundamental shooting mechanics, good elevation on his jumper and the ability to knock down shots off the catch and off the bounce.

Lydell Farmer | 2026 | Clovis East

Farmer is a wiry-smooth wing who, at 6-feet-5, excelled in the transition and free-flowing style that showcase settings present. The rising junior got out and filled lanes on the break and slashed his way to the rim for impressive dunks. Farmer has some good tools on the perimeter with his ball skills and ability to create for himself ant teammates off the bounce.

Phillip Steinert | 2026 | Los Amigos

Steinert was shooting the three-ball like it was throwing darts. The 6-foot-3 rising junior showcased his deep range off the catch and ability to knock down three's from multiple spots behind the arc.

Tyler Holmquist | Sonora

It was easy to tell that Holmquist was the son of a coach. His father, Dave, has been the head coach at Biola for 44 years and Tyler does a lot of the things that coaches look for at all levels. The 6-foot-1 lefty knocked down open three-point shots off the catch, attacked the rim aggressively and competed on both ends of the floor.
