August 19th-20th Cedric Cobb Sr and I had the 7th annual Southwest Basketball Camp at the Phhacility in Phx, AZ. 120 players from a few states came to gain exposure in front of college coaches and scouts plus compete versus some top end players over the two days.

Each player competed in 5 games for the two days plus 60 competed in an extra All-Star Game. (Top-20, Top-40 and a Non-Senior All-Star Game)

We take a look at each team's standouts.

We move over to Team Oregon State

Played/Made Top-20 Game

[player_tooltip player_id='1323290' first='Mason' last='Magee'] Basha

One of the top players overall at the camp was Magee. He showed off with 23 points in the Top-20 with speed dribble drives, stifling defense leading to points, high flying dunks and nifty passes to teammates. His ability to change speeds from fast to slow and then burst by his defender with his ultra tight handle is nearly impossible to defend. His defense and being a real teammate set the tone to go along with his exciting open court game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1226605' first='Isaiah' last='Henry'] Phhoenix Prep

One of the strongest wings you will see. He is all of 215 lbs of pure muscle and he is like a freight train getting downhill using his thicker frame. He is also a shocking athlete with some explosive and powerful dunks. He rebounds well for his size and plays good defense on the ball.

Played/Made Top-40 Game

[player_tooltip player_id='2390684' first='Raheem' last='Bradley'] Phhoenix Prep

A very quick and shifty point guard. He plays smartly off of the pick and roll game. The PG changes speeds well with a high feel for the game. He can hit the three off the catch and is quick on the ball defensively.

[player_tooltip player_id='2529146' first='Isaiah' last='Martinez'] Phhoenix Prep

A big kid with some skill. He has good length and rebounds well in his area. He will score on put backs off of offensive rebounds and can step out occasionally from the perimeter. He is also a sneaky good passer.

Played/Made Non-Senior Game

[player_tooltip player_id='2533645' first='Wyatt' last='Fulton'] Rancho Solano Prep

An incoming freshman who plays with a high IQ. He can shoot off the catch with some range from the three point line and already understands how to change speeds at a young age. He will get into the paint and score with crow hops. He moves the ball like you should and plays the right way with high court awareness.

[player_tooltip player_id='2146268' first='Brock' last='Knee'] Arcadia (Pictured)

A good sized scoring guard can put points on the board in a hurry. He is a known catch three point shooter but he can also pull-up from mid-range. He runs the court well and will finish off tough layups using his size and angles. The sniper should have a big year for the Titans.

Other Standouts

[player_tooltip player_id='2534894' first='Zach' last='Ramos'] ALA-West Foothills

The senior guard had some nice moments at the camp. He was a newcomer for myself and he can score with catch threes with some range and get inside and use the floater. He is a smart high IQ player and he should have a big year for new coach James Deakyne.

[player_tooltip player_id='2534893' first='Blake' last='Lunt'] ALA-West Foothills

Another newcomer took his lumps early but clearly gained confidence and steadily improved as the camp went on. He handles the ball well and can make some perimeter shots when left open. He will put his nose in the paint to rebound and the more he gets exposed to the pace of the game, the better off he will get.
