An impressive athlete, Gross can play above the rim. His high motor also allows him to grab second chance points. Developing more skill off the dribble over the past year, Gross is more confident attacking off the bounce and using the faceup game. Gross also had a strong month of June with Louisville, leading the Leopards to an unbeaten mark at Midwest Live. An old school back to the basket game where Hoerner wants to use his body to be physical with the defender before showing off his soft touch on post-moves and mid-range jumpers. Hoerner also flashed the 3-point shot down at the 3SSB finals for the Midwest Pumas, a new feature I wasn't familiar with in his game. A late bloomer as a big, McCruter has a lot of skills that are hard to teach. His size, natural movement skills and frame are a great combo and he improves offensively each time I watch him. Big Walnut has a nice foundation with a mix of senior talent and youth as they should be ready to contend for conference championships starting this winter. McCruter has started to get the ball rolling in his recruitment and I don't expect it to slow down anytime soon as more schools familiarize themselves with his game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
