Sophomore ID Camp: Top Big Men

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We continue our look at the top prospects at the Prep Hoops Illinois Sophomore ID Camp.&nbsp; Let's dive into the best post prospects at the event!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2391672' first='Jeffrey' last='Hassan'] (Kaneland)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Hassan is one of the best big men in the class of 2027.&nbsp; No doubt about it.&nbsp; He is a 6'9” five man that has everything you look for in a young big man.&nbsp; Hassan is a plus athlete that plays above the rim on both ends of the floor.&nbsp; What impresses us most about him is how efficient he is with everything that he does.&nbsp; Tip dunks, slams out of the dunker spot, assertive post moves, hook shots, and is a big time rim protector.&nbsp; In these settings sometimes it is hard for true fives to stand out, but Hassan has established himself as one of the premier posts in the sophomore class.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2125637' first='Jacob' last='Fuller'] (Glenbrook South)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Fuller didn't disappoint especially in the 3 on 3 game we saw him where he buried five triples.&nbsp; At 6'8” this five man can really stretch the floor.&nbsp; Quick and effortless release.&nbsp; Also displayed a turnaround jumper and hook shot on the block.&nbsp; Fuller is a good area rebounder that looked comfortable taking it and pushing coast to coast with his handles.&nbsp; Solid shot blocking presence as well.&nbsp; One of the top true big men in the class.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2125578' first='AJ' last='Enyia'] (OPRF)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the more interesting prospects that we saw for the first time.&nbsp; He looks the part at 6'6” with broad shoulders and a long frame.&nbsp; We first noticed that during check in and wanted to see what the game was about.&nbsp; He runs with long strides and shoots a good ball although it doesn't always go in the mechanics are sound.&nbsp; Had a few big dunks.&nbsp; You are buying the upside and development from raw prospect to player over the next three years.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2323596' first='Noah' last='Emmanuel'] (Whitney Young)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>At 6'9” the five man is super athletic and has the ability to be a game changer as an offensive rebounder, mobile defender, and athletic finisher.&nbsp; Did hit a top of the key three when we were watching, but the shot was a bit up and down on the day.&nbsp; The strength of his game is his size and athletic ability around the rim.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2383402' first='Jagger' last='Mayville'] (Waltonville)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Mayville is a prospect that we have seen a ton of throughout the spring and summer for the [program_tooltip program_id='2075532' first='Illinois' last='Bears'].&nbsp; What Mayville brings is plus length and mobility at 6'6”.&nbsp; He is active on the glass both offensively and defensively.&nbsp; Got put backs and was effective putting it on the deck for scores on the baseline several times.&nbsp; Mayville went head to head against some of the taller and athletic posts in his class and the southern Illinois big man more than held his own.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2413887' first='Josh' last='Kaunas'] (Johnsburg)</strong> </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kaunas caught our eye with his play as a 6'5” forward that runs the floor extremely well.&nbsp; Was very effective as a rim runner getting points that way along with crashing the glass.&nbsp; Has some switchability potential defensively.&nbsp; Also was an effective shot blocker swatting several shots in the game we saw.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
