Gylten is officially on watch list. He's moved up because he's reportedly now 6'3”. He had an injury last season and we haven't yet seen what he's fully capable of. So he's one that I'll be watching from Game 1 of St. Thomas More's season. It would not surprise me if he takes a leap up the rankings board and be considered a top prospect in the 2026 class. More to come on Gylten.

Jaden is an under the radar point guard that can play. Hasn't had the varsity tick, but he was able to showcase himself with [program_tooltip program_id='2112530' first='South' last='Dakota Elite Basketball'] 16U. He's a well-rounded point guard, with an underrated on-ball defensive game. His offensive game is what puts others on notice though. A great handle on the ball, where he can protect the ball and create space, and also attack off the drive through traffic. Does well in the pick-and-roll game, where he creates options for his team. A great rim finisher and a magician off the glass with both hands. Sioux Falls Lincoln has a very deep point guard position, so it's unclear to me his upcoming role. But he can play and is a playmaker out there.

Tracy is a point guard that is going to surprise this year with Groton Area. He's an extremely quick athlete that brings energy and toughness beyond his size. A competitor on both sides, where he'll pressure the ball-handler relentlessly. He's also been taking on a highly assertive offensive role with [program_tooltip program_id='2337876' first='James' last='Valley Thunder'] and translating that over to where I saw him live at the Northern State University team camp. He's attacking low and quick off the drive, with acceleration to the hoop. He also showed that he will take a bunch of threes and can go on a scoring spree.

McClemans is breaking out this year. Mark it down. He's my breakout guy this year as far as one I'll be getting behind the most. Watertown will be a different team this year and will need new guys to step up. McClemans is an aggressive offensive wing that is in attack mode and will also pull threes and jumpers. Pushes the pace on his own in transition, where he's looking to make his opponents pay by getting a bucket. He's going to score the ball and I think he puts AA basketball on notice.

Colby is an undersized prospect that plays in the paint. That's where the negatives stop. Most likely has the biggest and perfectly consistent motor in the entire state. He's all gas and no brakes. Fights for everything in the air and works for positioning every instance. Finishes well in the paint, and can step back a little for a jumper. I think if I'm a D3 coach, I'm all over this kid.

Bosma was moved up the board and we're most likely still too low on him. He has great positional size as a 6'5” wing. His offensive scoring doesn't wow you, but he does a lot of good things on the court. Good effort and competes for boards and runs the floor. A good leaper that makes an impact at the rim. He's still got some offensive abilities, but I think his true value lies in affecting the game in many other ways. He transferred over to Groton Area from Aberdeen Christian, and he could be just what they need to make a whole lot of noise.
