The Spartans put 2 players on my short list of class B seniors and it’s no secret why. Colby is one of the hardest workers on the floor every game. He owns the paint and rebounds extremely well. Look for the Spartans to utilize Colby’s strength and ability to get points in the paint on the regular.

Flowers is an absolute workhorse. He shows up with 100% effort every game. He’s a prospect that you wish were 3-4 inches taller because he would be a major recruit with his installed motor. He ran into a tough matchup with Castewood’s Laue who stands at 6’9”. Flowers didn’t backdown, but Laue’s size was a little too much when he got deep into the paint and near the hoop.
Game 1 vs Wall — 24 points (10-14 FG) – 16 rebounds – 1 block
Game 2 vs Castlewood — 15 points (6-14 FG) – 5 rebounds – 2 assists – 2 blocks – 3 steals – 28 minutes

Colby is an undersized prospect that plays in the paint. That’s where the negatives stop. Most likely has the biggest and perfectly consistent motor in the entire state. He’s all gas and no brakes. Fights for everything in the air and works for positioning every instance. Finishes well in the paint, and can step back a little for a jumper. I think if I’m a D3 coach, I’m all over this kid.

Colby was a force and dominated all over the court at the camp. He was a beast in the paint and was running and finishing in transition at an alarming rate. He made play after play. Controlled the paint with pure effort and ability to get up off the ground. Hardest worker at the camp.

Nobody worked harder than Flowers! It is a tall task to out-hustle Colby, and that did not happen this spring/summer. He is relentless, Colby plays hard 24/7. Flowers does the dirty work around the basket with strong defense, physical rebounding, and he is great at creating space. Colby plays the game of basketball with heart and hustle!
