Riccardo was one of the highest rated players in attendance and certainly lived up to that reputation. A smooth mover at his size, Riccardo has a unique blend of height, quickness and movement. Having some nice chemistry with some grassroots teammates as [program_tooltip program_id='2078667' first='TNBA' last='']-Ohio's 15 U HGSL champions team was well represented at this camp, Riccardo scored off a couple give and go's into a cut for a layup. An above the rim finisher, Riccardo had soft touch at the rim and it was tough for rim protectors to bother him on layups. After struggling to hit shots from the outside at the start of the camp, Riccardo got hot in a hurry later in the evening and when he's making shots, he's one of the tougher covers in the 2027 class. A high upside prospect to watch down the road, Riccardo has already earned Division I interest and looks like one of the top prospects in the state from the class of 2027.

Dari was on team 5 and got a writeup from Shane Garcia for that team but he played one game with team 10 and really stood out so I figured I'd add him to this article too. A creative guard, Dari has a quick change of pace and direction with the ball in his hands. Shifty off the dribble, opposing guards had a lot of trouble keeping Dari out of the paint. On his drives where he didn't create a ton of space, Dari did a nice job of keeping defenders on his hip then creating contact to get space to shoot at the rim. This is an essential skill for below the rim guards to master and Dari seems pretty advanced at this at such a young age. As a shooter, Dari was another player who missed a couple early open looks and then started knocking down shots. I'm sure I'll see Dari with Saint Ignatius a few times this winter to further evaluate his perimeter shooting ability.

Little came from eastern Ohio as Martins Ferry is a program on the rise. With players like Little in the system, it seems like they'll continue to be one of the better teams in the East district. Little's best play I caught was an acrobatic layup finish off a quick crossover. Combine that with a reverse layup on a baseline drive and a couple 3-pointers, Little did a little bit of everything on Sunday as a scorer.

Rusinko showed some grit and toughness on the defensive end with quick hands that forced a couple pickpocket steals. He also did a nice job of throwing the ball ahead after steals and rebounds to help start the fast break. Rusinko also benefited himself from the fast break as he scored a couple leakout layups. Liked the competitive flair Rusinko played with on Sunday.

Hairston was another player who got buckets on the fast break. A quick player who got from end to end before the defense on numerous occasions. In the half-court, Hairston was decisive off the dribble with a couple acrobatic and scoop layups at the rim. Looks like a potential impact player for VASJ down the road.
