Ohio Freshman Showcase: Team 8 Standouts!

Combine that with acrobatic finishes at the rim and soft touch on layups and he was incredibly efficient at the rim. I actually got to see Brooks in June starting varsity for Mansfield Senior and it was nice to see Brooks against competition his own grade level at this camp and comparing what I saw Vs varsity competition. Catching him at our showcase, he impacted the game in a lot of similar ways. A lead guard who can both score it himself or set up his teammates, Bowman has a high IQ and takes care of the basketball. Also knocking down a handful of spot-up 3-point looks, Howell was money when his feet were set. A guard who went into contact, Smith wasn't getting pushed off his line and showed his toughness. Finishing off two feet is important for younger guards to stay in control and Smith did that a couple of times on Sunday when he was tightly covered off the dribble. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
