Prep Hoops has done it again, hosting another successful event in the sunshine state while providing a platform for rising student-athletes to showcase their skills. The PH Freshman Showcase was hosted in Longwood, FL on Saturday where prospects demonstrated their skills and competed with and against their peers. Let's get into Drew's Part I breakdown of top performers throughout this event.

[player_tooltip player_id='2125501' first='Markel' last='Holmes'] | G | 2027 | San Jose Prep | @Markelholmes3

Holmes has been one of the better well-rounded guards in the 15U group to compete in our PH Showcases where he's shown off a nice upside to develop in years to come. He's a quiet killer on the court who can make an impact at all three levels. Once he gets that knockdown jumper to come together, he'll be a nice addition at the prep level.

[player_tooltip player_id='2529556' first='Drew' last='Jackson'] | G | 2027 | @drewjacks0nn

Talk about being in your bag. This kid was lighting it up on the offensive end this weekend at the PH Sophomore ID Camp. Jackson showed off impressive handles and a versatile game where he can score near the rim with impressive layups or drain shots with a solid jump shot he can get off in your face or create with his speed. Jackson finished the weekend with a highlight worthy of notable plays for coaches to take a look at.

[player_tooltip player_id='2125502' first='Miles' last='Morrell'] | G | 2027 | Victory Christian | @MilesMorrell0

Morrell has set the tone as a rising sophomore with impressive skill sets. Despite being a smaller guard, his unlimited range makes him a serious threat from deep. Morrell's high basketball IQ shines through as a floor general, always making smart decisions and setting up his teammates. He's got a knack for creating opportunities, finding the open man with precision. Morrell might not be the biggest player on the court, but his impact is undeniable.

Ayden “Skoot” Donald | G | 2027 | Tampa Bay Tech | @SkootDonald

Always good to get eyes on the next up risers from different regions and Skoot made his way over from the Tampa area to get some work in this weekend at the PH Sophomore ID Camp. Scoot has the skills to be electric with the ball in his hands where he uses speed and agility to get past defenders or he can finish with a jumper or dish to open teammates. He's a rising true point guard prospect with more growth in his frame and overall game will have college coaches interested in his potential.

[player_tooltip player_id='2125475' first='DJ' last='Alderman'] | G | 2027 | Hilliard | @dennisalderman2

Alderman has been one of the young risers on a talented Hilliard team who will have more opportunities for his game to shine this upcoming season. He's still been able to show off his developing dribbling skills combined with the quickness and nimble moves to get open shots or chances near the rim. He plays with a good motor and has the basketball IQ to be an effective point guard product.

[player_tooltip player_id='2123128' first='Jeremiyah' last='Shepeard'] | G | Class of 2027 | Carrollwood Day | @JyahShep

Shepeard stood out as a reliable ball-handling guard in the group. He showcased a smooth jumper and a knack for finishing strong at the rim, making him a threat from all areas of the court. What's more, he demonstrated impressive guard skills for someone early in his development as a rising 2027 prospect. Don't sleep on the defensive effort as he was a pest on that end of the floor throughout the day. With his recent transfer to Carrollwood Day, it'll be exciting to see how his game evolves in a new environment.
