Holmes brought a mix of explosiveness and finesse that few defenders could contain. A true combo guard, he showed the ability to slide into multiple roles, creating offense with the ball in his hands or spacing the floor as a secondary scorer. He had no problem rising above the rim, catching defenders off guard with his bounce and ability to finish with authority. At the same time, he showed soft touch finishing at the basket and flashed his lefty shooting stroke from deep. Defensively, he hustled to make effort plays and contest shots, using his athleticism to influence both ends of the floor. Holmes’ versatility and highlight-reel ability made him one of the most entertaining players of the event.

Holmes isn’t the loudest player on the court, but his game speaks volumes. A crafty guard with three-level scoring ability, he’s been an intriguing riser in the 2027 class. Holmes operates with a solid poise picking apart defenses with smooth ball-handling and a developing perimeter jumper. If he continues to refine his shot, expect him to command more attention on the prep circuit.

Markel was among the most difficult players to contain off the bounce, regardless of class. He is dynamic in the open floor and at his best when looking to create offense off the bounce. He is an athletic lefty who showcased his ability to be a top option in a program. He scores well from behind the arc, but his scoring prowess comes when he is getting downhill. He balanced scoring and facilitating, yet there were times when you could see his shot selection was not the best, which came as a result when he teetered between deciding to score or get others involved. That area will improve as he continues his journey, but he showed that he is a player that deserves eyes to stay on him.
