We didn't have a lot of practice time, and the team gelled well together. By the end of the season, the team was firing on all cylinders. We won a lot of games because of our effort and defense but this team is also loaded with shooters. It was a fun team to watch. There wasn't a tournament we went to where I didn't have a spectator come up after the game and tell me how fun the team is to watch. This is a group of great kids on and off the floor. We ended our season at 22-10.</em>"</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>PHD: Do you have any fun memories you want to share with us from the season?</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"<em>I think Battle of the Lakes was a turning point for us. We went 4-0 in that tournament and the players gained a lot of confidence that helped us in the tournaments moving forward.</em>"</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>PHD: How did your team overcome adversity?</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"<em>It didn't matter if we were winning or losing, this team played at a high level. We out worked our opponents in many of our games. That effort level made us a very competitive team and helped us wins games, that we were down in early.</em>"</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>PHD: What are a few things your team improved on?</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"<em>Our defense got better with every tournament. Also our ability to work together on the offensive end. We moved the ball well, played unselfish ball, and always found the open guy to knock down a shot.</em>"</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>PHD: Who was your top shooter?</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"<em>This team is loaded with shooters! [player_tooltip player_id='2237753' first='Wyatt' last='Weekley'] is a great perimeter shooter. He would take shots that would go in even when there was a hand in his face. [player_tooltip player_id='1863060' first='Jackson' last='Jordan'] is a pure shooter who has to be guarded on the perimeter. He has a very quick release and has the ability to score a lot of points in a short amount of time. [player_tooltip player_id='1863054' first='Rowen' last='Wiseman']'s shot continues to get better with every tournament. His range continues to grow and you have to pick him up 25 feet from the basket.</em>"</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>PHD: Who was your best rebounder?</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"<em>[player_tooltip player_id='1542351' first='Chase' last='Christensen'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1542346' first='Zakai' last='Harildstad'] both were great at offensive and defensive rebounds. Chase is physical and would use that to his advantage down low, and Zakai is smooth and quick and could come from the perimeter to get a rebound, he probably shouldn't have gotten.</em>"</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>PHD: Who was your best defensive player?</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"<em>[player_tooltip player_id='1863061' first='Aiden' last='Schmidt'] is one of the best on-ball defenders I've seen. He was asked to pick players up 90 feet away from the hoop and his ability to make the dribbler turn and get frustrated was a huge asset to the team.</em>"</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>PHD: Any last comments/thoughts on the season?</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"<em>This team was exciting to watch and coach. Their work ethic and attitude made them a fun team to coach and watch grow over the season.
