September is less than two weeks away, meaning the new school year is right around the corner. The 2027 class is set to have a strong 2024-25 season, including in Group 1. Here are the 2027 Group 1 prospects to track.

[player_tooltip player_id='2347281' first='Nairi' last='Latham'], 6'1 CG Marion P. Thomas Charter

Latham was one of the top scoring freshmen in the state last season as he poured in over 500 points. The 6'1 guard has a smooth release on his jumper and can knock down triples in bunches. Latham moves well without the ball in his hands, freeing himself for open layups and jumpers in the halfcourt. He has a solid handle and is an underrated passer. Latham had four 30-point games last season and is looking to eclipse that mark next season.

Jhkai Singletary, 6'4 SF Paterson Charter

Singletary is one of the most intriguing prospects in the class with his combination of size, length and athleticism. The 6'4 wing has a good first step, which he uses to get to the rim off the bounce and elevates for dunks in the halfcourt. Singletary can also score in the mid-range and is able to draw contact in the paint. He skies for rebounds on both ends of the floor and has the length to defend multiple positions on the floor. Singletary is a lanky wing prospect who is just starting to scratch the surface of his potential.

[player_tooltip player_id='2432045' first='Adam' last='Reilly'], 6'3 PF Hawthorne

Reilly had a solid debut season and should take a step up in his second varsity season. The 6'3 forward knows how to get position down low and has a soft touch around the basket. Reilly does not mind drawing contact in the paint and sets strong screens in the halfcourt. He works hard on the glass at both ends of the floor and holds his ground on the defensive end. Reilly is a physical forward prospect who should get more touches down low next season.

Maurice Davis, 6'4 SF Glassboro

Davis has the potential to have a breakout season with his ability to impact the game at both ends of the floor. The 6'4 forward has a good touch around the basket and knows how to get to his spot on the floor. Davis moves well without the ball in his hands, freeing himself for open layups and jumpers in the halfcourt. He uses his athleticism to make plays on the defensive end and elevates for rebounds on both ends of the floor. Davis has the ability to play either forward spot, which makes him a prospect to track in the class.

[player_tooltip player_id='2233699' first='Sincere' last='Johnson'], 5'6 PG Newark Tech

Johnson is a speedy guard prospect who should make plays with the ball in his hands this season. The 5'6 guard has a quick first step, which he uses to blow by his defender and finishes nicely around the basket. Johnson can also score in the mid-range and is able to find his open teammates in the halfcourt. He pushes the pace nicely in transition and slides his feet well on the defensive end. Johnson's ability to run the offense is something that will help his stock in a big way this season.
