With the summer being over and the high school season a few months away, it's that time of year where players are taking visits and researching college programs. With that in mind, we've decided it's a good time to take a look at some under the radar players across the state.

Here's a look at some of the hidden gems in the Northern VA area of the state.

[player_tooltip player_id='2242390' first='Noah' last='Limbago'] | 6'3” F | Woodson '25

Limbago is going to be a senior leader on a Woodson team that will be very good this year, and coming off a big summer he seems like he's ready for a big senior season. He's a Swiss-army knife of a player who allows them to play different ways as he can play on the perimeter when they go big or in the most when they want to go small, he's strong and physical on both ends of the floor and he produces across the board as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='1767517' first='Xavier' last='Wilson'] | 6'7” C | Colonial Forge ‘25

Wilson has quietly put together a solid career at Forge, as he's a man amongst boys in the paint and is able to dominate on both ends of the floor. He's the type of big you can play through as he can score it with his back to the basket and in face ups, he's a good passer out of double teams, he's a good rebounder on both ends and he can protect the rim as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='1598943' first='Parker' last='Cage'] | 6'1” CG | Hayfield '25

Cage was one of the breakout players for the new look Hayfield group last year, and the combo guard is a player who is capable of exploding for big numbers on any given night. He's a knock down shooter from deep with in the gym range and the ability to get hot quickly and knock down shots in bunches, he can attack closeouts or initiate the offense with the ball in his hands and he is a good defender on the perimeter as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='1597214' first='Kendall' last='Jones'] | 6'3” WG | Flint Hill '25

Jones is a two sport star who also thrives on the football field, and his natural athleticism along with his ability to score the ball in different ways makes him a tough matchup for anyone. He has a great physique and natural quickness to get downhill and play through contact, he can knock down shots from deep off the catch, he gets to spots in the midrange and he makes plays on the defensive end too.

[player_tooltip player_id='1767530' first='Eann' last='Pennix'] | 6'5” PF | South County '25

Pennix is one of the most versatile and productive guys you'll come across, and this summer with Higher Level he showed his ability to play as a glue guy and in different roles as well. At 6'5” Pennix may seem a little undersized but he's a walking mismatch as he can take slower forwards out on the perimeter, he's strong and physical as a finisher in the paint, he's great a great knack for the ball as a rebounder and he can guard multiple positions as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='1767542' first='Theo' last='Burke'] | 5'10” PG | Woodson '25

Burke is going to be the senior floor general for this talented Woodson team, and his ability to create for both himself and others makes him one of the best guards in all of NOVA public schools. He's always in control and is hard to speed up or put pressure on, he makes shots from deep both off the catch and off the bounce, he can touch the paint and make plays for others and he's a natural leader as well.
