This past Sunday, Prep Hoops held the inaugural Sophomore ID Camp for the class of 2027 at the Beaverton YMCA. We've been going over every team at the event to break down every player on the floor. Take a look at team six and get to know some of the strengths these guys showed out on the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='2539891' first='Connor' last='Sicat'] Central Catholic

Guard who made some pretty crafty drives, stayed controlled and aware of his options while dicing his way to the interior. Really nice change of pace with the rock and hit some tough buckets around the paint. A really solid guard who scored and created for others.

[player_tooltip player_id='2457815' first='Jackson' last='Welch'] Mountainside

He was a key shooter for his squad, knocking in several threes in each game I saw and getting them out quick off the catch. He didn't just hang around the outside though, he also did a good job getting in on offensive boards to tip balls up or back out and keep the possession alive.

[player_tooltip player_id='2124995' first='Carter' last='Lemon'] Tualatin

Got to some good spots off the dribble and was pretty consistent knocking down outside shots. Made a lot of strong moves off the catch; hard rips, quick dribbles, and good change of direction. Was really effective pushing the ball in transition.

[player_tooltip player_id='2132804' first='Shay' last='Thompson'] Sunset

Moves well with the ball and showed off some pretty good potential as a playmaker. Showed good feel handling the ball, consistently worked in close from the perimeter and scored around the paint. Also did a good job in transition to get the ball up quick with some good vision and passing.

[player_tooltip player_id='2165680' first='Tayshawn' last='Juarez'] Sprague

Showed some nice glimpses with the ball, putting some moves on defenders in the open court and then bursting through gaps to the hoop. Was a big hustle guy for his team, putting in some nice work crashing in on the boards from the perimeter.

[player_tooltip player_id='2538819' first='Ezekiel' last='Chisholm'] Bend

Worked hard to make an impact. Played hard on the ball defensively and kept his hands active. Made a couple of nice plays pushing the ball on the break and making the right pass, as well as finding some space in the half-court to dive middle after the defense collapsed on drives.

[player_tooltip player_id='2421603' first='Eli' last='Hopkins'] Oregon City

Bigger kid who ran the floor well and found space along the baseline for a few really big dunks. Showed off his athleticism by taking off of one foot and two feet to slam the ball home. Really good effort getting from baseline to baseline and was aggressive defending the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='2539850' first='Kevin' last='Zhang'] Guanzhou

A long kid who made a big impact around the paint with blocks, shot contests, offensive boards, and putbacks. Showed some ability to take the ball down the floor himself in transition and get all the way to the hoop and showed some potential from 3-point.
