USA Youth Hoops: July Jam Fest Top Players 2028-2030

The stars were aligned for the top players of various classes over the weekend. These young men stood out from classes 2028 thru 2030. They showcased the skills they possessed on the basketball court at a very high level. I truly believe these young men have all the intangibles needed to succeed in their future basketball journeys.    Dylan has an excellent floor game at the point guard position. He's a really good ball handler who can create off the dribble and blow by defenders. I watched him knock down multiple threes and attack the basket with major success. Makes teammates better with his pin-point passes and floor leadership. Dylan is also a really good defender who can get under his opponents skin by applying constant ball pressure. The defensive pressure he applied lead to multiple turnovers. He's really good at scoring or assisting when fast break situations come into play. He doesn't mind the physical contact from defenders as he drives the lane, often scoring through contact and completing three point plays. In my opinion, this young man is a great young player who could become elite with continued practice and physical growth.     This young guy right here is a big time shooter!! Jacob was one of the best shooters I saw at the July Jam Fest over the weekend. He had a game where he knocked down six threes and another with three. I have to say, do not be fooled by the shooting skills and think its all he does. You would be sadly mistaken because this kid can get to the basket and finish too. He showed the ability to create off the dribble and attack the lane for easy or contested layups. Those same ball handling skills allowed him to create enough space to get his jump shot off. On defense, he hustles and shoots passing lanes for steals and easy finishes at the rim. He stays attached to his opposition and makes it difficult for them to be effective on offense. Dylan is already an elite scorer at a young age. Just imagine how much better he'll be when he reaches the high school level. I plan to be there and witness it.     Titus is the prototypical floor general who is great in one on one situations. Excellent ball handler who has unique dribbling skills, which allow him to break down opposing defenders with ease. A pass first point guard who looks to get teammates involved on the offensive side of the ball. Titus is an elite passer who seemed to find others on the floor with flashy assists that were often converted. He has a nice mid-range game and has no problem getting to the basket when he needs to score. Titus has the lateral quickness to be a great defender. He stays attached to opposing guards, while not giving them any space to be effective. Has the ability to play passing lanes for steals and force turnovers. This young man is an elite point guard in the making! He already has all the traits and intangibles needed to be great at his position.     Jacobi displayed all the skills and intangibles needed to be a top point guard in his 2029 class.This young guy was the fastest player on the floor over the weekend. He used his speed to get where ever he wanted on the court. I literally saw his teammate give him the ball and watch him drive the ball coast to coast through the opposing defense for an uncontested layup. He has excellent ball handling skills that allowed him to attack the basket or dish out easy assists. A really good jump shooter who knocked down multiple three pointers and shots inside the key. Showed great leadership, while directing his teammates on where they needed to be on offense and defense. Jacobi is a tough guard who had no issues attacking the paint and grabbing rebounds despite his size. He plays the game with a calm demeanor that bodes well for any team he plays on. Having a point guard who can be calm in critical situations is good for the team as a whole.     Daniel is a great passer who showed the ability to be the teams leading distributor of the ball. Displayed great leadership by constantly staying in communication with his teammates on both ends of the floor. He ran the team's offense at a high level while orchestrating positive plays that were highly effective for himself or others. This kid can also shoot the rock at a high level! I saw him hit multiple threes off the dribble. A really good player who has the dribbling skills to attack the defense and get to the basket or find open teammates for easy scores at the rim. Daniel is a good on ball defender who forced multiple turnovers that lead to fast breaking opportunities. This young man is a really good floor leader who will continue to progress with growth and age.     This young man is a serious knock down three point shooter!! I witnessed Benny make four threes on seven attempts at the July Jam Fest over the weekend. He doesn't need much space to get off his shot and be effective. Very knowledgeable on the art of using picks and screens to free himself up for looks at the basket. Excellent free throw shooter who made all of his attempts. Runs the floor and finishes in transition when the situation arises. He also showed the ability to put the ball on the floor and get to the basket on some occasions. Good defender who plays tough against opposing guards, often forcing turnovers. Benny is an elite shooter who can always be a valuable piece to a team. Every squad needs a high caliber shooter.     Good defender who can block shots at a high level. Venzdel plays the game with a lot of athleticism and energy. He's a do it all type of player that does what's necessary to get his squad the win. I saw him block shots in a variety of ways over the weekend. Straight up blocks, chase down blocks, and team blocks all demonstrated this young man's defensive prowess on the basket ball court. He's an excellent rebounding forward who scored on multiple offensive put backs that turned into three point play opportunities. He showed the ability to run the floor and score in transition when the situation called for it. Venzdel also demonstrated how he has the shooting range to knock down three pointers. ( I wasn't expecting to see this) Did I mention, this guy came through in the clutch by making two free throws to win the game for his squad? Well he did. I love this young man's skill set, especially on defense. If he continues to improve his offensive ability... he will definitely become a great two-way player in the future.     Dominic displayed the ability to score in a variety of ways inside the paint. Most of the points he scored were on hustle plays such as put backs and layups. He occasionally made mid-range jump shots and attacked the basket. Dominic was great at running the floor and finishing in fast break situations. He seamlessly meshed well on offense getting to his spots for open looks. Sets excellent screens that allowed teammates to be efficient on the offensive side of the court. Good interior post defender who had no issues boxing out and grabbing defensive rebounds. He's a really great shot blocker who turned away most of the opposition as they attacked the lane. In my opinion, Dominic's biggest strength was the sheer hustle he had to be a part of every play on the court. This young man has a bright future at the next level.. especially if he improves his skills on offense.
