With the scholastic live period over and the grassroots live period going on, we thought it would be a good time to look at some specific specialists in different areas. Here's a look at part one of some of the top shooters in the NOVA area.

[player_tooltip player_id='1956071' first='Adlan' last='Elamin'] | 6'8” F | Paul VI 2025

Elamin was a breakout player last summer after transferring to PVI when he was able to show his ability to create and make shots from deep at his size in a very impressive manner. At 6'8” he's a true wing who can come off of screens and get his feet set to knock it down, he can handle the ball in pick-and-rolls and knock down shots when defenders go under and he can catch on pitch backs and drill it too.

Chance Perkins | 6'2” WG | Highland 2025

Perkins is a difference maker for this talented Highland team because he's one of those players who can get hot quickly and absolutely take over a game with his shot making ability. He has deep range out past the NBA line with the green light to take it, he gets set on the move and can knock it down, he can create space off the bounce and once he gets it going he can rattle off multiple makes in a row.

[player_tooltip player_id='1956065' first='Jackson' last='Britt'] | 6'3” CG | Evergreen Christian 2025

Britt is another talented scoring guard who can fill it up in a number of different ways, but it all starts with his ability to knock down shots and stretch the defense with his shooting ability. He has good form from the feet up and knows how to work off the ball to get open, he can create space with step backs off the bounce, he is efficient from deep and he can attack closeouts once he gets it going.

[player_tooltip player_id='2242382' first='Alex' last='McFarlane'] | 6'4” WG | Hayfield 2025

McFarlane was one of a number of breakout players for the new look Hawks last year, and he's an intriguing prospect because of his ability to shoot it at his size. He's a good athlete who can run off screens and make shots on the move, he uses fakes and dribbles to relocate on hard closeouts, he has a quick release and he's no slouch on the defensive end either.

Elijah Eccleston | 6'2” WG | South County 2025

Eccleston is a well rounded guard who can play both on and off the ball and makes a difference on both ends, but he's also a very talented shot maker when he gets it going. He can come off of screens and set hit feet and let it fly from deep, he stays shot ready on kick-outs and he can get to spots off the bounce and hit the pull-up in the midrange.

[player_tooltip player_id='2347772' first='Jake' last='Bahr'] | 6'3” WG | Bishop Ireton 2026

Bahr is an emerging prospect on an emerging Ireton team that will be a tough out for even the best teams in the WCAC, and the fact that he plays with two guards who can get him shots puts him in the perfect situation. He understands spacing and relocates to open passing lanes, he has very good form from the feet up and he can use his dribble to create space and relocate.
