He is arguably the best point guard in Tennessee. Blazing speed with and without the basketball. A little streetball swagger. Virtually impossible to guard at the high school level. [player_tooltip player_id='2421420' first='Melvin' last='Yates'] is making a push to be their best offensive player in 2025 with his power guard makeup. Yates can attack and defend at the point. He rebounds above most guards. Volume scorer. He is the kind of dude that will score 7 points in a row and still want more. Never gets complacent. The lefty owns the ideal scorer's hunger. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Will Livingston / John Overton</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>John Overton lost a lot of talent between <strong>Kyree Christian</strong> and <strong>Will Carter</strong>. Thankfully they pulled in a transfer from Wisconsin prior to last season in <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2275394' first='Jehmel' last='Madison']</strong>. Also, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2497565' first='Ryleigh' last='Meanus']</strong> is back. The next name to watch is <strong>Will Livingston</strong>, a junior guard who dropped 21 points on Power Center Academy back in June! WL is also a high-academic dude (3.9 GPA, 27 ACT). Livingston was only a 6.7 ppg guy last winter.
