The energy in the building at the T3TV Music City Premiere was undeniable with wall-to-wall talent, high-level matchups, and players stepping into the spotlight with something to prove. From poised floor generals to versatile forwards, this event was loaded with young prospects who didn't just show up, they made statements. Here are several names that left a lasting impression and showed why they are trending upward…

Tripp Tatum (5'8/PG/2030/TN Heat Blue)

IG: tripptatum21

Tripp is a lead guard with a crafty floor game. He was really good at attacking off the bounce and using an array of finishing moves in the paint. He has a solid PG skill set, showed court vision, the ability to make kick-ahead passes in transition, and kept his team in rhythm by controlling the pace of the game. He was active with his hands on defense, which helped him make deflections, which helped him to impact the game on both ends of the floor.

Roland Price, Jr. (5'10/Wing/2031/ROTO)

IG: roland_price3

Roland made his initial impact and impression on the defensive end of the floor, as he is an aggressive, pesky on-ball defender. Offensively, he showed to be a downhill attacking off-guard who pushes the rock extremely hard in the open floor. He is physical off the bounce and has vision and passing skills that allowed him to create open looks for teammates, as help defense had to try and clog the lane to stop his drive. His shot selection was questionable at times, but that's to be expected for a young talent.

Carter Scherretz (6'1/SF/2030/OBKY Gators Elite)

IG: Yallcanthold8

X: @Carterscherretz

Carter's impact lies in his youthful identity as a budding versatile prospect who's really good at running the show. He is a downhill attacking wing who understands how to use his dribble with intention. He wasn't just dribbling to dribble, but he was getting to spots on the floor where he could create advantages, whether that meant scoring or delivering quality looks to teammates. He constantly put pressure on the rim, keeping the defense on their heels and scrambling in their rotations.

Weston Samples (6'1/PF|C/2032/Alabama Select)

IG: kelansamples

Weston, for his grade, has really good size and length, and his length was a factor on both ends of the floor. His interior offensive game is still budding, but he showed the ability to finish around the rim. He really showed his dominance on the glass, which could be attributed to his length. He was also a factor on the defensive end as a rim deterrent, as his length made ball-handlers hesitant to attack the cup.

Kaiden Taylor (6'2/PF/2030/[program_tooltip program_id='2358547' first='BMaze' last='Elite'])

IG: Ballerkt

Kaiden showed a lot of budding versatility in his game as he scored inside and out. I initially had questions about his perimeter shooting and his shooting stroke, but he eventually showed his ability to knock down the three, and once he found his stroke, defenders had to be aware of where he was. There was nothing flashy about his game, yet he was highly productive on the glass and competed on the defensive end, as he can guard multiple spots due to his length and anticipation.

Quon Hardy (5'11/G|F|C/2031/[program_tooltip program_id='2358547' first='BMaze' last='Elite'])

IG: Quon.5hardy

Quon was a 7th grader playing up on the 8th-grade squad. He showed a lot of versatility in his game on both ends of the floor. He plays extremely hard and brings a tough physical style of play to the floor. He scores in the 15–18 ft area and creates off the bounce, finding scoring opportunities in the paint for himself and his teammates. He has a functional handle, passing instincts, a solid frame, and can play out of the wing, the high post, or the low block. Defensively, he leverages his athleticism to disrupt plays and rebound at a high clip.
