June 21st-23rd I attended the annual prestigious Section-7 at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale,AZ. There were 160+ teams from across the West and some out of the area and it is one of the biggest live period that college coaches can view high school teams. It is basically the Super Bowl of HS basketball in the West for three days. The local teams held their own and Millennium even won one of the top brackets.

Here were some of the standout senior point guards I viewed

[player_tooltip player_id='1336443' first='Uriah' last='Tenette'] Prescott (Pictured)

One of the most dynamic scoring point guards on the West Coast. The undersized PG is quick, shifty and tough. The lefty is a shot maker who has nasty pull-ups from mid-range and can shoot the three with range. He will dart down the lane with his burst and speed and score above the rim with his bounce and power. He is quick on the ball defensively and a very good passer to thread the needle to teammates.

[player_tooltip player_id='1217315' first='TayVion' last='Wilson'] Sandra Day O'Connor

A growing scoring lead guard is a big time shot maker. He is quick enough to get into the paint to score and uses the floater game but he is a sniper. He will rattle in threes one by one and lets it fly quickly. He has that big game type of DNA and not afraid of the moment.

[player_tooltip player_id='996176' first='Bryce' last='Quinet'] Notre Dame Prep

A highly skilled scoring lead guard. He makes players around him better with a good feel for the game. He rebounds well for a PG and can take it the length of the court and bounce off of his defender and finish. He is very crafty around the hoop with step thrus and euros. His skill and feel standout each game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1150844' first='Quincy' last='Everson'] Millennium

An improving guard can play on the ball or off seamlessly. He is not your classic PG but makes good decisions and sees the court well. He is a more natural scorer with quick drives with left or right hand, hits the catch three in rhythm and defends. He will take a charge and rebounds well for a guard. He made some huge shots and plays en route to winning the toughest bracket. He is their PG on this top team.

[player_tooltip player_id='1275632' first='Lex' last='Clontz'] Chavez

A combo guard with some size and big time skill. He will catch and shoot from the three point line with a super quick release. The Embry-Riddle commit can go on his own personal runs pouring in buckets one by one. He plays on of off the ball and the veteran guard will lead them back to the playoffs. Like Everson, he is their PG on this team for the most part.

[player_tooltip player_id='1371094' first='Quincy' last='Kirk'] Canyon View

A quick scoring lead guard plays the passing lanes well. He sees the court and can make plays with either hand. He will make a burst and slither into the paint and score in traffic with his tight handle and toughness. He takes long strides into the lane and will score with off balanced shots. He can also rise up off the dribble from mid-range.

[player_tooltip player_id='996764' first='Brennan' last='Peterson'] Dream City Christian

A scoring combo lead guard plays on or off the ball. He plays off of other guards perfectly with catch and shoots threes and has a good feel for the game. He will takes charges and he moves the ball to the open man. He is one of the better open three point shooters in the class.

[player_tooltip player_id='2432447' first='Nico' last='Bojorquez'] Casteel

An undersized scoring lead guard who can score and facilitate. He is tough minded and can get into the paint and find a teammate. He makes threes off the dribble and catch. His toughness and skill shine thru each game played.
