One of the best parts of June is finding new names that play the best with their high school teams who might have flown under the radar on the grassroots circuit. Here are some of the prospects at the Ridgewood Live Event that made names for themselves with their play.

[player_tooltip player_id='2415420' first='Danny' last='Loftus'] (Riverside Brookfield)

Loftus is a 6'2” two guard that is crafty off the bounce. He scored 17 point against Rolling Meadows as the go to player for RB with Mercer out. Scoop shots and finished around the hoop with dump offs.

Vince Dockendorf (Riverside Brookfield)

Dockendorf is a smaller point guard that can really shoot it from deep. He hit multiple threes in the game we saw scoring 12 points with his quick release from three off the catch being his strength.

[player_tooltip player_id='2538944' first='Alex' last='Kriser'] (Highland Park)

Krister is a 6'0” shooting guard that dropped 20 points for Highland Park against Lane Tech. He is a microwave scorer that can really shoot it from distance. Made six triples in the game we caught. Good small college sleeper.

[player_tooltip player_id='1874839' first='Luka' last='Pinto'] (Lane Tech)

This 6'5” small forward has a quick release on his three point shot, rebounds well for a wing, and is a gritty defender.

Matt Szafoni (Lane Tech)

There is some projection here with this 6'7” power forward. Super long and lanky post that is a plus athlete. Plays hard, can block shots, and flashed as a shooter from the corner.

[player_tooltip player_id='2538995' first='Grant' last='Mordini'] (Lake Forest)

This is another post that is more of an upside play. At 6'10” he looks the part and has solid mobility. Finished around the hoop on a drop step. Blocked a couple shots. Offensive game is pretty raw, but the size/athleticism combo is intriguing.

[player_tooltip player_id='2217987' first='Whitman' last='Charboneau'] (Neuqua Valley)

The Neuqua Valley 6'1” shooting guard can make shots off the catch along with mixing in some scoop shots and soft touch finishes. Worth looking into for small colleges.

[player_tooltip player_id='1598678' first='Cooper' last='Buelna'] (Crystal Lake South)

Buelna is a 6'4” small forward who brings a physicality on the wing. Runs the floor well, gets on the glass, and scores best off the bounce.

[player_tooltip player_id='2217947' first='Bobby' last='Grganto'] (Downers Grove North)

Strong bodied post that played well around the hoop with his back to the basket scoring on right handed hook shots, seals, and touch.

[player_tooltip player_id='2538898' first='Jack' last='Weigus'] (Brother Rice)

Weigus is a 6'3” two guard that played well in transition getting an array of layups. Hit a three off the top of the key and had a sweet alley oop pass.

[player_tooltip player_id='2105276' first='Kameron' last='King'] (Hyde Park)

The 6'3” shooting guard is a strong bodied wing that can really make shots. He impressed with his ability to knock down shots at a high level along with pull up jumpers in the mid-range.

[player_tooltip player_id='1598733' first='Jordan' last='Tunis'] (Schaumburg)

Tunis had a strong outing on late Saturday night in their win over West Aurora. He is a microwave scorer that ca really get going with his plus shooting from three along with mixing in some scoop shots.

[player_tooltip player_id='2505371' first='Gus' last='Donohue'] (DePaul Prep)

Donohue was the one DePaul Prep prospect that really emerged new on our radar. Pure catch and shoot specialist that was lights out all weekend long! Going to be a hot commodity at the small college level.
