Throughout the day I saw several interesting prospects play their hearts out and leave it all on the hardwood. While this was happening, I was taking some quick notes about what I was seeing, live-in-action. Below I highlight a few individuals and briefly describe what I saw out on the floor in their specific contests.

Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!

#47 - Aiden Stevenson - 2027 - PG - 5'6 - [program_tooltip program_id='2077044' first='Larry' last='Hughes Basketball Academy'] 15U (MO)

"A natural scorer at the guard position. This is someone that just hit a big game winner on the final possession in their first contest of the weekend out of a timeout. It's important to note, out of this timeout, it went right to Stevenson with 10 seconds left for a 1v1 look and he made the most of it with a nasty cross over into a mid-range pull-up for the game against a very good opponent. From what I've seen, he leads vocally, he is selfless but he also understands when to take opportunities. Something you can't always teach from a coaching perspective. It's more of a learner-trait through experience."

#1 - Andrew Griffin Jr. - 2026 - PG - 5'7 - L.I.F.E. League Silver 16U (IN)

"Griffin Jr. is nearly impossible to guard 1v1. He is smaller guard with a nasty handle, soft touch on the ball, and high energy throughout an entire contest. This is one of those prospects that can light it up in a hurry if you let him on offense, while being a scrappy defender. Like I said, he can get down the floor in a hurry and he is lethal from all three offensive levels so matching up with him doesn't work out for anyone. At that point once he gets downhill, you just have to hope and pray that he is off on his shot attempt, which isn't likely."

#11 - [player_tooltip player_id='2404108' first='Preston' last='Meier'] - 2027 - SG/CG - 6'1 - Hardwood Elite 2027 (MO)

"Meier out of the 2027 has been really finishing out the current contest he is in. He is a guard with decent size at 6'1, that has been to the charity stripe 6-7 times here in the last 5 minutes of this game, hitting most of his attempts to seal the deal for his Hardwood Elite 2027 team. Meier is getting a lot of attempts because of he rebounding hard and playing throughout the whistle. He has a unique shot form from the line, putting toward the side of his body but it goes in A LOT so you can't really complain. Defensively, he has been active on and off the ball, staying in front of his matchup and strongly contesting in 1v1 matchups."

#14 - [player_tooltip player_id='2267060' first='Ozzie' last='Bates'] - 2027 - CG - 6'1 - Evansville's Finest 2027 (IN)

"I would have to say that [player_tooltip player_id='2267060' first='Ozzie' last='Bates'] of Evansville's Finest 2027 is one of the more interesting prospects I've seen one Day 1 of this event of the 2027 Class. He has deceiving size compared to others around him, he is balanced and coordinated in his movements, he has better than average athleticism, and you can tell that he is still learning the game while he physically grows. If he progresses over the next few off-seasons, he should be a solid producer as he gets older on the Varsity floor."

#5 - Noah Murov - 2027 - SF - 6'4 - CG Hoops 2027 (MO)

"The upside to Noah Murov and his future on the hardwood as it pertains to basketball is bright. He is someone out of the 2027 Class, that takes up a lot of space and room with his size. If you watch him for a contest, you can tell that he is still feeling out his game and learning what he can or can't do. With that being said, he is still very good for his age and producers high numbers each game in the categories of rebounding, scoring near the bucket and from the line, and getting stops. When you put those all together, you get some noteworthy stat lines and that's what Murov has done this weekend when I've seen him."
