<p><strong>Luis Archeluta, Tucumcari</strong>: Archuleta truly did it all for Tucumcari last season, averaging 3.5 assists per game to go along with his 19.0 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2684834' first='Josh' last='Dawes'], Tohatchi</strong>: Only one other 2025 prospect in Class 3A had more assists than Dawes last season. Dawes collected 86 assists for an average of 3.1 assists per game. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2818687' first='Jesse' last='James Gonzales']</strong>, <strong>Robertson</strong>: Gonzales also plays quarterback for the Cardinals football team, so he knows a thing or two about ball distribution. Last season he averaged 3.8 assists per game to help Robertson finish 27-3 and reach the Class 3A state championship game.</p>

<p><strong>Lorenzo Peral, NMMI</strong>: Peral averaged a team-high 3.3 assists per game for a NMMI team that qualified for the 2024 Class 3A playoffs. Peral also led NMMI in scoring and minutes played.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1717328' first='Bobby' last='Parraz'], Loving</strong>: Parraz had close to 100 assists last season as he averaged 3.7 assists per game for Loving, the most by a 2026 prospect in Class 2A.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2175826' first='Darium' last='Peshlakai'], Newcomb</strong>: Peshlakai was solid on both ends of the floor in 2023-24 as he averaged 8.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.6 steals per game for the Skyhawks. </p>

<p><strong>Marcus Sena, West Las Vegas</strong>: Sena averaged 3.2 assists per game for the Dons in 2023-24 as WLV reached the quarterfinals of the Class 3A Tournament in March. </p>

<p><strong>Daymion Urioste, Tucumcari</strong>: Few backcourt sin Class 3A will be better than Tucumcari's in 2023-24. Urioste is just a junior but he made a huge impact last season getting the ball to his teammates as he averaged 3.9 assists per game.</p>
