The Hustle Clemons squad has morphed itself into a very attractive roster anchored by the shooting of [player_tooltip player_id='1578756' first='Max' last='Moore']. Moore who poured in games of 11, 13, 16 and 17 out of the six paced the Hustle and kept defenses honest. [player_tooltip player_id='2295581' first='Elijah' last='Pendleton'] had very solid performances averaging almost double figures over the six games gives this squad a nice swing man approach and muscle to the basket. Pendleton has really warmed up as the AAU season has wore on this year and is starting to become a first option scorer.

[player_tooltip player_id='2367481' first='Luke' last='Michael'] had to provide alot of muscle inside and provided rebounding and interior defensive support. Michael is dynamic enough to play a few different positions but with this squad played in the paint several minutes giving 2024 Brandon Dennison breaks when needed. The last roster spot is filled by [player_tooltip player_id='1573144' first='Maki' last='Cary'], a recent transfer to Huntington Prep, who in this lineup is the primary point guard and distributor. Cary who is known as a reliable scorer and typically scores in bunches served a much different role and filled it well and will be his position at the next level. Cary was great all weekend in Myrtle making great decisions with the ball and being very selective with his own shots.

Saunders

The 17U Saunders group has underwent a major roster overhaul but still anchored by [player_tooltip player_id='2208825' first='Zane' last='Saunders'] who's shooting kept them in some games late. Saunders a long 6'7" wing shot it well enough to hit double figures 4 outta 6 times in both stanzas combined. Saunders has great skills facing the basket and shoots off the dribble well for a bigger wing. Maybe the most pleasant surprise the last few weeks have been [player_tooltip player_id='2390878' first='Elijah' last='Martin'], the 6'3" guard/wing who is an outstanding two-way player and does so many little things throughout games that affect it. Martin has a high ceiling in recruiting coupled with excellent talent. On the other wing from Martin was [player_tooltip player_id='2366408' first='Colton' last='Caldwell'] who's a 6'4" shooter that is great on the catch. Caldwell didn't have huge scoring games but has good enough guard skills to alleviate pressure in the backcourt and is a rising prospect.

The rest of the Saunders 17U squad is squad veteran [player_tooltip player_id='2322653' first='Trey' last='Stump'] who's a solid and fundamentally sound guard who serves largely as the point guard when in the game and did so very well his four days in Myrtle. Stump has steadily improved his play on both ends and adds alot of value on the floor despite not needing to score. An excellent distributor and floor general Stump still managed to pump in 16 points in the final game of the team's run. Alongside Stump [player_tooltip player_id='2501203' first='Sean' last='Legros'] added much needed depth for a four day run and provided scoring support in the second stanza with 10,6, and 6 off the bench which was a great boost. The anchor for the Saunders squad was undeniably [player_tooltip player_id='2366403' first='Shalik' last='Hampton']. The D1 TE prospect who brings that size and physicality to the court and uses it effectively and efficiently to post, get rebounds and putbacks, play strong post defense and has the athleticism to hid the midrange shots when necessary. Hampton's basketball career will be much more shortlived than his football one but it's an avenue he would have available if he so pursued. Hampton was the team's high scorer for the weekend posting 17, 9, 9, 16, 16 and 23 in the final.
