One of Georgia's largest live period events took to the Cobb Galleria Center July 11-14 with 16 courts going, I went through Saturday and caught a bunch of interesting characters making impressions at HoopSeen's Best of the South. Here's Pt 2 looking at guys from within Georgia:

[player_tooltip player_id='2425855' first='Devon' last='McField'] (G, Hebron Christian) | [player_tooltip player_id='2425814' first='Richard' last='Azu'] (F, Hampton) | [player_tooltip player_id='2328850' first='Germani' last='Wilson'] (F, Mays)

This trip was impressive at Cobb Galleria, with McField (pictured at top) showing off the pace-pushing ability and yet a wealth of poise in decision-making as well. Notable speed up the floor and can thread the needle for the feed or finish despite not being the biggest guy. Azu and Wilson play a similar above-the-rim style, superb athletes who affect the game at both ends and boost teammates with their eye-popping plays. Both defend well at and away from the basket the way they can move and showed off some face-up variety that can be honed further in both of their arsenals. There's good energy across the board with this Fire group as you generally get from Ron Porter-coached teams.

Ruben Borg (G, Collins Hill) | [player_tooltip player_id='1300736' first='Ryan' last='Kim'] (G, St Pius) | [player_tooltip player_id='1200222' first='Zayden' last='Edwards'] (G, St Andrews)

A wide array of guys who can make shots on this OPivot squad under Emory University Assistant Chadwick Hixon. Borg arrives from North Carolina to Suwanee and will have an immediate impact on the local scene. Solid college-ready frame at 6-5, a smooth stroke from multiple ranges, sees the game well, most effective on the wing peeling off screens and getting downhill. Kim is fully under the radar at Pius on what is always a team that shares the rock so well and plays a team-brand without a ton of stars, but they've got one now in 2026 riser [player_tooltip player_id='2046360' first='Harris' last='Reynolds'] so it'll be interesting to see how far the Golden Lions can go next winter. With Pivot Kim joins that list of bombers and he can really light it up as he showed me in June back with Pius. Edwards playing out of Savannah doesn't get the pub he deserves, a second straight summer with Pivot has brought him more into the spotlight, but the way he can defend the ball, play a scoring-PG for you, and at his size get off the deck and fill up a stat sheet, very talented and definitely worth a look.

OTP National 17U

Landon Duncan (G, Woodstock) | [player_tooltip player_id='2046356' first='Cade' last='Lomas'] (G, Sequoyah) | [player_tooltip player_id='2722003' first='Jeremiah' last='Shealey'] (G, Winder-Barrow)

This trio of guards has been putting up numbers for a while now this spring and summer, with Duncan now moving to Woodstock from Kell and poised to be the element the Wolverines need at both ends of the floor. He's a poised floor general, A+ defender, picks his shots well and scores with power. Lomas had monster games both with OTP in the spring and then again back with Sequoyah in June, has always had flair in his game but has backed off that more and used his good IQ for finding openings more soundly. Shealey is back for a Winder-Barrow 4A Final Four team that is thinking about another deep playoff run for sure, he's a guy who can go on some scoring runs that impress particularly with his slick and dissecting perimeter game that uses the bounce and sleek movement to get the job done. New Reinhardt University Associate Head Coach Dylan Bohling has done a terrific job helming this group since March.
