Grand Park Premier started their impressive run to the Final 4 with a win on Friday night. I can't recall seeing a single mental error from the young man. And that's tough in a late Friday night game. Haan was really solid with the ball and unselfish. He recognized good shots and was more than efficient with them.

Calhoun's team fell in their first game, but he definitely went to work. He was able to shed defenders with his strength when he was able to find a straight line drive. Calhoun is a powerful guard that rebounded like a forward.

Harper was a high impact player for the Gateway Knights on Friday night. He showed some next level skills. Harper was a sharpshooter off the catch with a big corner triple. He was an impact defender with his ability to use angles on the trap. He forced a turnover and was fouled in transition off of it.

I was impressed watching Pohlmann in his team's opening game. He's a powerful forward who lets his strength allow him to play bigger than his height. Pohlmann showed the ability to step outside, bury a triple over top of the defender and effectively stretch the floor.

Dolan was nothing short of lights out in the opening night at the Grit Region Finals. He grooved his jumper and heated up in the first half of the game. Dolan was an athletic shooter that could create looks at the rim and deliver in traffic. He was able to turn defense into offense with a steal and score. Dolan even attacked the glass and kicked out to a shooter.
