Player Comments From Coach Lund

#1 Aiden Sanchez - 6'2'' SF from Breckenridge High School

"Aiden was a defensive stopper when we needed him this season. He came up with countless steals in the clutch and is someone that you can put on the opposing team's best players to slow them down. Really shot the ball well as the season went on, will do great things for Breck next year if he shoots and guards like that."

#10 [player_tooltip player_id='2237807' first='James' last='Schindler'] - 5'8'' PG from Red River High School

"James ended the year with a bang, Scoring 20+ in the last game of the year. James is a small guard that shoots the ball really well, He excels at making good reads off the ball screen and can really make a jump for Red River next year with how hard he plays."

#11 [player_tooltip player_id='1539679' first='Kaden' last='Welstad'] - 5'11'' PG from Bismarck Century High School

"Kadyn is another tough guard on the defensive end. He can pick up a guard full court and make everything difficult for them. Century has a lot of young pieces but if Kadyn can shoot and guard at his highest level he will be a good piece for Century in the future."

#13 [player_tooltip player_id='2237726' first='Oakley' last='Trueblood'] - 6'6'' SF from Minot High School

"Oakley is a pure shooter with a huge upside. His length allows him to guard 1-5 and he can really make it tough for guards offensively. Minot is going to be really good next year with all their upperclassman returning but Oakley is a name to know in Minot. When he does things outside of shooting on the court he is difficult for opposing teams to handle."

#20 [player_tooltip player_id='1539675' first='Nathan' last='Stevenson'] - 6'0'' SF from Dickinson High School

"Nate is a stocky athletic player who excelled at getting to the rim on everyone and anyone all summer long. Easily led the team in getting to the free throw line and finishing through contact. Great rebounding guard as well all summer long. He will be a great piece for a younger Dickinson squad this year!"

#22 [player_tooltip player_id='2347908' first='Dean' last='Miller'] - 6'4'' PF from Red River High School

"Dean really made a jump in the month off we had this year. When he runs the floor in transition he is extremely tough to guard and when he plays physical on the block he becomes even more of a problem. Dean has a very high ceiling and is a super raw talent basketball-wise."

#23 [player_tooltip player_id='2132777' first='Kyson' last='Keller'] - 6'3'' SG from West Fargo Sheyenne High School

"Kyson took a massive leap this summer. Kyson was one of the last guys to make the team in tryouts and by the end of the summer he was playing at a high level. Long enough to guard 1-5 and can shoot the 3 great. One of the best shooters on the team. Definitely a name to watch for Sheyenne next year."

#24 [player_tooltip player_id='2237722' first='Tanner' last='Kratcha'] - 6'5'' PF from West Fargo Sheyenne High School

"Tanner was great for us all summer. Really great at finesse, footwork, big guy who can score over everyone. His ability to shoot the three makes him tough to guard. With Sheyenne short a big man for next year it will be fun to watch Tanner chase a big opportunity."

#25 [player_tooltip player_id='1651918' first='Brett' last='Livingston'] - 6'5'' PF from West Fargo Horace High School

"Brett is one of the best players in the state for his age when he plays at his hardest. He shot the ball well from the perimeter this summer, but his ability to put his head down and get to the rim, as well as, post up and score over smaller guards will make him a great weapon for Horace next year."

Q&A with Colton Lund

PHD: How would you sum up the season for your squad?

"This squad had a great summer. You can always tell how a summer went by if the players are getting better and these guys got better all summer. Small steps in their game really will help next year and I will not be surprised when a couple of these players jump at open opportunities to shine."

PHD: Do you have any fun memories to share with us from the season?

"Starting the season 4-1 up in St. Cloud with the entire team. Lots of memories were made on the road this year. [player_tooltip player_id='2237722' first='Tanner' last='Kratcha'] game-winner in Chicago has to be on here. Guys wanting to get better and enjoying it made for a fun summer."

PHD: How did your team overcome adversity?

"Playing down 1-2 guys every weekend was tough, guys stepping up and answering the bell when asked to do more or put in different spots."

PHD: What are a few things your team improved on?

"Really improved defensively throughout the year. Hard to score over 50 on this squad all summer long. Rebounding and toughness are 2 things that I can say we got better on."

PHD: Who was your top shooter?

"[player_tooltip player_id='2237726' first='Oakley' last='Trueblood'], we had one game this summer where he was at his absolute best. He won the game in the first 5 minutes of the second half hitting 8 threes. Consistently able to make open threes with his feet set and can shoot over smaller defenders easily."

PHD: Who was your best rebounder?

"Hard to choose between [player_tooltip player_id='1539675' first='Nathan' last='Stevenson'], Aiden Sanchez, and [player_tooltip player_id='1651918' first='Brett' last='Livingston']. The amount of points off O-boards for those three this summer is a lot. They all flew at the glass and rebounded against anyone even through box-outs."

PHD: Who was your best defensive player?

"Hard to choose one here. Aiden Sanchez and [player_tooltip player_id='1539679' first='Kaden' last='Welstad'] when they are on the ball are really fun to watch and you can put them on anyone, guard or post, and feel like they would do well."

PHD: Any last comments/thoughts on the season?

"Great season for all these guys, looking forward to seeing them all make a huge jump next year in High School ball."
