Throughout the weekend I kept a notebook full of small notes that I took for each athlete, as I watched them compete live and in-person. In this article, I highlight a handful of prospects and go over the notes that I had written down about each athlete, as I watched them compete on the hardwood. These notes are just a more simple or brief way of explaining what I was seeing in that moment.

#42 - [player_tooltip player_id='2499794' first='Oren' last='Byman'] - 2026 - 6'7 - C - Illinois Orange 16U (IL)

"Big man who knows his purpose. Does a great job of running from rim-to-rim, eating up space on both sides of the ball. Next to the hoop, he is a force to reckon with because of his natural size and discipline to stay down on pump-fakes. Whenever an opposing guard breaks down their original defender, Byman is someone that they have to worry about as they try to get all the way to the bucket. His presence usually deters them from doing that as a contest wears on and that really speaks to his future capabilities if he were to keep working."

#10 - [player_tooltip player_id='2404109' first='Jacob' last='Villigram'] - 2027 - 6'5 - CG/SF - Hardwood Elite 2027 (MO)

"In both of [player_tooltip player_id='2404109' first='Jacob' last='Villigram']'s contests on Saturday, he was a standout for his Hardwood Elite 2027 Team. His mixture of size, coordination, balance, and calculated play-style makes him a liability for opponents if they don't pay attention to him. He is with a group that has some other really talented prospects so other teams that are matching up, can't double anyone or else it will certainly end in a score for them. Being someone out of the 2027 Class, he has shown out better than most these past few days."

#7 - [player_tooltip player_id='1766471' first='Arlandis' last='Brown'] - 2025 - 6'3 - PG/CG - [program_tooltip program_id='2075532' first='Illinois' last='Bears'] 2025 (IL)

"The foundation of size, handle, touch on the ball, physical presence, athletic ability, and knowledge of the game from an X's and O's standpoint that [player_tooltip player_id='1766471' first='Arlandis' last='Brown'] possesses is something that could 100% translate to the next level if he were given a shot. This is someone that when determined trying to get to the basket, no one is going to get in his way. I didn't see too many 2025 contests this weekend but the [program_tooltip program_id='2075532' first='Illinois' last='Bears'] always bring some producers and Brown is in that conversation for this Arch Madness event ."

#1 - [player_tooltip player_id='2500763' first='Ace' last='Armstrong'] - 2027 - 5'11 - CG/SG - CG Hoops 2027 (MO)

"You can just tell when someone is a natural hooper with a different type of feel for the game and [player_tooltip player_id='2500763' first='Ace' last='Armstrong'] of CG Hoops 2027 out of Missouri possesses that. He has a natural swagger about himself. He would be someone that is considered a smooth operator at this point in his career with the ball in his hands and he is only going to get better with experience. It also seems like he is going to grow as well over the next year but who knows. If he does, it will benefit him and if not, I'm sure he will still thrive in the long run."

#45 - [player_tooltip player_id='2414256' first='Cannon' last='Roth'] - 2025 - 6'6 - SG/SF - [program_tooltip program_id='2607320' first='SEMO' last='Select'] 2025 (MO)

"What [player_tooltip player_id='2414256' first='Cannon' last='Roth'] brings to the hardwood is the mixture of size at 6'6, finesse with the ball, and great knowledge of when to do what. Offensively, he is someone that possesses picture perfect shot form if he lets it go from the midrange or behind the three point line, and he is persistent at getting to the line with his hard takes to the rim if the defense lets him square up to the rim from within 15FT. I have no idea what kind of offers he has but this is someone that could step onto a collegiate floor and make a difference, it all just depends on his fit within the program and what his possibilities comes out to."

#24 - [player_tooltip player_id='2404040' first='Nolan' last='Savoie'] - 2026 - 6'2 - CG - Hardwood Elite 2026 (MO)

"This is a guard that jumps off the court when you watch him live because of his effort and hustle. Don't get it twisted, he is also a baller who can score at a staggering rate but more-so he is a hard-nose player, that really competes with a chip on his shoulder. He is always giving maximum effort and leaving it all on the court, which is ultimately all you can ask for."

#5 - Lucas Glaus - 2025 - 6'2 - SG/CG - Chippewa Valley Select 2025 (WI)

"Knock down. Lights out. Automatic. Microwave. These are all terms you can use for elite scorers of the basketball. Lucas Glaus of Chippewa Valley Select 2025 showed off that you could also use those words to describe his shooting ability. This weekend, he was on fire would be an understatement to end off his AAU career. He also demonstrated that he can handle a little bit as well and make good decisions when the ball is in his possession. Things you just love to see."
