During our weekend of watching games at the Midwest Showcase on Olathe, KS, we were able to identify a group of young bigs who displayed some good potential. These youngsters are still in the developmental stages, but Prep Hoops Missouri will be tracking their progress in the future. Here's a quick thought on these players.

[player_tooltip player_id='2528045' first='Hendrix' last='Haymes'] (Ozark): A 6'6" 2027 forward with a strong body and he knows how to use it in the low post. He seals his defenders well in the post and he finished well with some good drop steps moves. He is also a very good interior passer.

[player_tooltip player_id='2534725' first='Jack' last='Barnett'] (Lee's Summit West): A 6'5" 2027 forward who plays a strong, physical game inside, which is not surprising because they tell me he's a good prospect on the football field. The big lefty can post up well inside, pass the ball well and he can hit a jumper from the high post.

Alex Garbrick (Park Hill South): A 6'5" 2027 forward who did some nice things inside in the game that I watched him. He has a nice shooting touch around the basket and he has good mobility.

Jake Plummer-First (CBC): A 6'7" 2026 forward who also plays well on the football field. He is a good athlete who plays with a lot of activity. He uses his length well to block shots and he is also a good rebounder who runs the court.

Kellen Daugherty (Lee's Summit): A 6'5" 2027 wing player who has a long and lanky body and who was comfortable handling the ball on the perimeter and making a play off the dribble. He moves very fluid out there on the court as well.

He is also a very good screener, which is ideal on a team full of perimeter shooters at Rolla. He catches the ball well in traffic and can finish.

John Tadlock (Springfield Central): A 6'8" 2027 forward who provides some additional size on a team full of excellent perimeter talent. I saw some good activity from him, especially when it comes to rebounding, where he had a couple of nice putbacks.
