A new single-game scoring record was broken Sunday morning by [player_tooltip player_id='1433337' first='AJ' last='Demirov']. The Crystal Lake product was lethal from outside the arc. Knocking down tons of 3-pointers vs Batavia Sunday morning. But his playmaking was just as good. If not, better. Probably had a double-double in this contest. The best part was when he tried to cross up an nonent and laughed in the process. Added two fadeaway jumpers in the second half en route to a terrific, all-around 44-point performance.

Tyler was really impressive in the morning vs Stevenson. Started the game with a fast-break slam. Stayed aggressive as the game went on. Drawing numerous fouls in transition while also hitting a smooth floater near the free throw line. I really liked his communication skills defensively, which is something often overlooked by scouts.

Taylor's an athletic 6'4” F who did a lot to impress me vs Stevenson. He did a good job of reading defenses and leading the break. Ultimately having a fast-break dunk in the first half. He also buried a 3-pointer and spaced out well on the perimeter. Definitely a name small school coaches should look out for.

RP led a big Stevenson run in the 2nd half against Simeon. Knocking down several outside shots with a couple being strongly contested. Also showed excellent vision. Eventually giving Stevenson their first lead on an assist to a cutting teammate. One that would never go away. His touch around the rim is as good as anyone. Overall, a true team player who made a big impact this morning.

Bardic was a big contributor this morning. The first thing that impressed me was his speed in the open floor. Pushed the tempo in transition which led to some easy fast break buckets. He also showed plenty of confidence attacking the rim over bigger Simeon opponents. Knocked down some key free-throws late in the game to secure a comeback win.

The 2026 PG carried Batavia's offense vs Crystal Lake South. Hit three triples in the first half in addition to an and-one attacking the rim. Really good playmaking skills in addition to some nice off-ball movements. Hit another three to begin the second half after he broke past a defender for a free layup the previous possession. Game-winning free throws with just a couple seconds left sealed the win!

Breland was all-business vs DGN on Sunday. Finishing with 21 points. Opened the game with a transition layup taking the ball behind his back and finishing with his left hand. Added plenty of assist chances, too. The biggest improvement I've seen from him is that he isn't as forceful as he was before. He used to take way too many 3's to try and break out of a slump. He's less about that now. Still hit a few outside shots but takes less chances than before. Overall just a much better decision-maker.

The most impressive player on DGN. Confident shooter who had numerous hot zones. A turnaround jumper ended the first half vs St. Patrick. Saw him hit at least five 3-pointers. Scored 19 pts to lead the Trojans in that game
