GBCA Team Camp Session I 2025 Watchlist

It's a big weekend for prospects in the Class of 2025 at the GBCA Live Team Camp Session I. With coaches across the country in the building, they'll have a chance to show whether or not they are able to play at the next level. Now that we're at the end of June, those who have performed well are hoping to continue that success on one the biggest stages they'll have during their high school career. Here's some names to know as games tip-off over the weekend.    [player_tooltip player_id='1559461' first='Marcus' last='Gillespie']'s stock has been trending upward all summer starting with travel ball on the Under Armour Circuit, where he found his name on several top performer lists. Going into to team camp activities, he attended the NBPA Top 100 Camp, where he was named as a top performer on multiple days and ultimately picked up an offer from GA Tech. At 6'5", Marcus is a big guard that can take defenders off the dribble, get downhill, and score at will. He finishes well around the rim and through contact. He has good court vision, pushes the ball well in transition, and can knock down the open three. He's improved drastically as a defender, can rebound, and is an elite shot blocker at the guard position. Look for him to continue to show that he's capable of being a high major guard this weekend.     [player_tooltip player_id='2299368' first='Jordan' last='Samuel'] has had some great showings at team camps averaging around 17 points and 8 rebounds a game. Winder-Barrow lost a few kids due to graduation and now Jordan will be heavily relied on this upcoming season. So far, he's showing that he can shoulder the weight of being a top scorer on their team. He can score at all three levels, face up or play with his back to the basket, rebounds well, block shots, makes a strong pass to get out in transition, and he dunks with power. Jordan's build passes the eye test so at first glance he looks like a Division I prospect. Jordan's ability to be aggressive with his touches and be confident will be key this weekend in front of coaches.     Hezekiah is 6'3" Guard who is also a 3-Star rated QB by several ranking systems. Weighing 210 pounds, his size makes him a force to deal with as he gets downhill and to the rim often while finishing through contact. He's able to bang on the boards and does a good job getting rebounds and putbacks. He sees the court well, makes the right play, and is a lock down defender. When he's playing off the ball, he's effective with catching and shooting, and knocks down open shots beyond the arc. He brings intensity to the court and his teammates feed off of it. Look for him to have some interest from coaches once the weekend is done.     [player_tooltip player_id='2722003' first='Jeremiah' last='Shealey'] is a newcomer that college coaches should familiarize themselves with fast. He had an impressive showing at the UGA Team Camp and Kennesaw State Team Camp a couple weekends ago. He also made top performer lists at other team camps. He's a wiry point guard that handles the ball and protects it well. He has good court vision, and almost always makes the right play. Because he can put the ball on the floor and get to the rim, he's able to create for himself and his teammates. He has the athleticism to finish around and above the rim when he chooses to. He's a hidden gem that is definitely worth looks from college coaches.
