Elite “on campus“ prospect camps kicked into high gear this past weekend. As both Wayne St and Ferris St hosted deep and talented fields. While I was not able to attend at Wayne St this year. I did make it down to Big Rapids for Ferris' iteration. While familiar names stood out as they usually do. These camps provide an opportunity for new names to emerge. Following are five that caught my eye.

Gregory White 6-3 2026 Waterford Mott The breakout performer of the camp for me. Not only played well. But tested out as an above average athlete. One of only two campers to break 10 seconds in the lane agility drill (9.7) Has a pretty slender frame. However that did not stop him from attacking the basket without fear. Showed the ability to finish both at and even above the rim at times. Not necessarily a point guard. But a good ball handler who used it to get to his spots on the perimeter. Part of a rising and young program at Mott. Still has some physical development needed. If it comes, this could be a wing prospect to watch in the Detroit area.

[player_tooltip player_id='2218051' first='Vincent' last='Salmon'] 6-8 2025 Brighton Salmon is an “old school” big with excellent size and intriguing physical attributes. Had the second highest wingspan in the camp (6-8) Is not the most explosive athlete you will see. However is showing improvement in that area. Has been having a good summer on the Puma circuit with [program_tooltip program_id='2076445' first='The' last='Process']. That work showed in the scrimmage portion on Sunday. Competed hard under the basket. Appeared to enjoy and seek out contact. It should be noted that Salmon was not the only Brighton prospect at the camp. 6-7 2026 Tristan Provancher should give the Bulldogs a formidable frontline in the coming year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1439044' first='Jordan' last='Bledsoe'] 5-10 2025 Muskegon Mona Shores A skilled and competitive point guard who doesn't pass the initial test. When the ball tipped for the 5-on-5 scrimmage portion. You saw his “gamer” mentality come up. Competed hard defensively against a good guard group that had some size on him. Combatted that discrepancy by playing with a low center of gravity. The Mona Shores program sometimes gets lost in the shuffle on the lakeshore. If Bledsoe continues to play how he did Sunday. He could help change that narrative in the coming year.

[player_tooltip player_id='2218046' first='Spencer' last='Scott'] 6-6 2025 Warren De La Salle (pictured) Playing for a high profile Catholic League program. I have seen Scott many times before. Each time I've been impressed with his size and developing skill level. However I wondered about his athletic upside. As he seemed a little heavy legged at times. Looked thinned out and more athletic Sunday. More importantly though, tested that way. Posted a 28 inch vertical that frankly I did not think he had in his arsenal. That was just the start. All of his numbers were in the neighborhood of the other guards in the camp. If he can translate those numbers into his on court performance. This could be a late blooming post prospect to watch. Plays for an an excellent developmental program that is bringing in a new coach. Could have breakout senior season.

Alex Halfmann 6-6 2025 Fowler Hailing from one of the smallest schools represented. There was nothing small about how Halfmann tested or played. A legit 6-6 frame with a wingspan bigger than his height (6-7) One of only a few players to exceed that threshold. Showed the versatility to play inside and out. Plays at a school and conference with a rich basketball tradition. The Eagles lose some firepower from last year's squad. If he continues to improve his perimeter skill set. Could have a big senior season.
