Asa is a lead guard who showed poise and a good PG IQ. He did a good job distributing the rock and keeping the offense flowing. He is a pass-first PG who showed he is more than capable of facilitating the offense and keeping all scoring options happy.
Alijah Johnson (5’10/CG/’26/Benjamin Russell HS)

Alijah was one of the best shooters I saw the entire day. He is a lefty who can stroke the rock and moves really well without the ball. His ability to come off screens and catch and shoot was next level. Whether coming off screens or spotting up for the trey, he showed that he is able to bring production for his squad from behind the arc.

Tyler was high energy throughout the day, and it was his play on the defensive end of the court that stood out and injected life into his teammates and coaching staff. His on-ball defensive pressure was smothering, and he was giving ball-handlers a lot of problems. Offensively, he shot the ball well from behind the arc, provided secondary ball-handling, and is a reliable initiator of the offense behind and alongside Austin Coner Austin Coner 6'1" | CG Pinson Valley | 2025 State AL . His energy is contagious, and he will be able to help the Indians next season.
Solomon Williams Solomon Williams 6'3" | CG Central-Phenix City | 2026 State AL (6’3/Wing/’26/Central-Phenix City)

Solomon is going to be a key piece to the CPC squad next year. He is a smooth ISO scorer who can provide another scoring option for Coach Burkette. He is very crafty and has a bag loaded with scoring tools. He scores at all levels and is a confident scorer who is willing to be aggressive despite playing alongside two established scorers for the squad. Defensively, he is really good in help, and his wingspan causes problems when he is defending on-ball.
Tyjavian Byrd (6’8/G|F|C/’27/Paul W. Bryant)

Tyjavian is a talented prospect who will need to turn his potential into production. As mentioned, he is highly talented and showed his versatility and inside scoring ability. He really stood out on the glass and showed his ability to protect the rim. If he can continue his progression as a two-way force, he will be a tough opponent for teams once the season rolls around.

The number one thing I was looking for when watching the state champions is who will get the first look to replace Finals MVP Josiah Jones, who will be taking his talents to the next level. With the core of the championship team remaining, Glen showed his ability to be a stabilizing force with his presence on the floor. He handles the ball well and is a playmaker off the bounce. He seemed to have a nagging injury that he was dealing with, but if he gets the nod as the replacement in the starting line-up, he showed he is capable of handling the role.
