The latest edition of the Illinois class of 2025 rankings has been unveiled. We examine it from all angles including here in 2025 Rankings: PG/Combos Stock Risers!

[player_tooltip player_id='1385311' first='Robert' last='Walls'] (DePaul Prep)

Previous Ranking: #46
Current Ranking: #31

Walls is coming off such a great junior year at DePaul Prep. The combo guard was an integral part of the Rams run to a state championship. Walls is an athletic lead guard that plays with speed, has great handles, and can finish in the paint. Solid jump shooter that is evolving as a playmaker.

[player_tooltip player_id='2321459' first='Tristian' last='Saunders'] (Joliet West)

Previous Ranking: #147
Current Ranking: #67

Saunders stepped up this spring with a big last couple months for Flight Athletics. He has grown up to about 6'3” now. Long and rangy guard that can really score it from all three levels. Explosive scorer that shined at the Chi-Town Tip Off in April.

[player_tooltip player_id='2423481' first='Machi' last='Nelson'] (Proviso West)

Previous Ranking: NR
Current Ranking: #68

Nelson put his name on the map at that same Chi-Town Tip Off event. He is a smaller guard from Proviso West that shined with M14 running the show at the point using his tremendous speed and burst with the ball in his hands. Good pull up game and is pesky on the defensive end.

[player_tooltip player_id='1545140' first='Drew' last='Barrington'] (Carterville)

Previous Ranking: #109
Current Ranking: #83

Barrington has steadily gotten better throughout his career. The Carterville lead guard is excellent at running a team in the half court, pushing in the open floor, and making sound decisions with the ball in his hands. Quality spot up shooter from three, pull up in the mid-range is effective, and isn't afraid to score among the trees inside.

[player_tooltip player_id='1598786' first='Willie' last='Felton'] (Bishop MacNamara)

Previous Ranking: NR
Current Ranking: #84

Felton had a big spring both individually with his play at the Prep Hoops spring exposure camp along with what he did for 1 Dream. Liked what we saw out of him with his length, athleticism, and how fluid he is with everything he does. Gets to the rim with smooth handles and can really shoot it pulling up. In the times we have seen him we have been impressed with how efficient he is. Solid passer with potential as a defender.

[player_tooltip player_id='2444443' first='Max' last='Justic'] (Brother Rice)

Previous Ranking: NR
Current Ranking: #105

Lefty combo guard from Brother Rice will take the lead guard duties from Cosme this upcoming season. For [program_tooltip program_id='2414566' first='Mike' last='Glennon Elite'] he has shined with how he has distributed the rock while also finding ways to impact as a scorer with his jumper.

[player_tooltip player_id='2452426' first='Jalen' last='Dawson'] (Belleville East)

Previous Ranking: NR
Current Ranking: #106

Dawson had a breakout performance at Show Me Showdown in St. Louis for Illinois Orange. Strong and stocky 6'0” guard we had been hearing buzz about heading into the spring and lived up to it with the relentlessness that he plays with. Constantly in attack mode getting downhill to the rim and rebounds very well for a guard.

[player_tooltip player_id='2387669' first='Josh' last='Stone'] (Plainfield East)

Previous Ranking: NR
Current Ranking: #107

Stone has been a consistent presence for the Illinois T-Wolves all spring. What we like about him is he can make shots at a good clip from the perimeter while also being a solid ball handler.
