Top Five Teams of the Week!
- (1) Fury Antl. Crushed everybody in the Scheels Series weekend two.
- (2) Select Brewer. They earned second place in the Prospect Series and beat the other top 16s from their program.
- (3) D1 Minnesota . A 4-1 weekend in Adidas play with the one loss coming by a single point.
- (4) Howard Pulley. They went 3-1 and came within a basket of beating the top MoKan team.
- (5) Fury DeLo. Fury DeLo not only won the top 16u division and they did it with two blowouts and a close game with a good BSB team.
3SSB Session Two. D1 Minnesota went 4-1 on the weekend Adidas competition with wins over Power 5 and Game Elite, the one loss was to Team Loaded 54-55. D1 Minnesota is currently tied for third in Pool A overall season standings wise with the 6th best record out of 40 Adidas teams. After a strong weekend, FSA/J Sizzle is tied for third in Pool C with an overall record of 6-3 in Adidas play. They went 3-1 getting some close game victories, and ironically losing to the team of Anthony Edwards in a close game (as we in Minnesota spent all of last night cheering on Edwards again).
Scheels League Weekend 2. Fury Antl crushed everybody. They won the championship with their closing game being a 14 point win in the semi-finals. Antl beat Select Brewer in the title game by 26 points (they have beat them three times in five weeks now) but that was still a great weekend for Select Brewer. The second Select team beat the top team and beat the ND Phenom on their way to a second place trophy. Fury Reyes winning their last three games and earning the consolation title was impressive as well.
Meg Vang Invitational. Fury DeLo continues to win games and this past weekend they won the top division of the 16u event, and they continue to impress early in the season. East Metro Wave won the second group of eight and are moving closer to a top 25 spot in the 16u division overall.
KC Classic. Impressive weekend for Howard Pulley in a good KC Classic event put on by Hardwood Events. They beat MPJ Elite (Michael Porter’s team) and Frontline in close games, beat the KC Spurs second team in a close game, and lost to the top MoKan team by only one point. And yes that was the MoKan top team so that’s a strong showing.
Session 6 Kansas City. Powerhouse was in the top pool out of six groups, they won two of their four games. They beat the second Lincoln Supreme team and Team 94, lost by double digits to KC Spurs and Iowa Barnstormers. Real Phenom won three of four games in the fourth pool of six.
