This past weekend we completed our spring live period event in Romeoville Prep Hoops Live. As always we had tons of talent in the gym. In this article, I want to look back at some players who left as proven prospects.

[player_tooltip player_id='2133089' first='Jerome' last='Delaney'] 6'4 AR Elite 2026 (OPRF)

Delaney is a big guard who is at his best when attacking the rim off drives. He shows good vision and when getting paint touches hits open players when he draws attention. Jerome showed he can play off the ball as well hitting shots from three and a few from 15 feet. The size and skill set of Delaney will be the calling card to him playing at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='2397963' first='Yusuf' last='Saleh'] 6'0 [program_tooltip program_id='2075386' first='Chicago' last='Lockdown'] 2025 (Argo)

Saleh is an active guard who looked good getting downhill and finishing tough layups. He's a dependable guard who can beat you with his first step. Yusuf is deceptively quick on straight-lined drives to the rim. As a defender he was able to get some steals which led to transition points. Saleh is having a solid spring for Lockdown.

[player_tooltip player_id='2125649' first='Jimmy' last='Parrilli'] 6'1 [program_tooltip program_id='2075622' first='M14' last='Hoops'] 2027 (ICCP)

Parrilli is a three-level scoring threat. He does a good job at driving on the defense as they close out on him. He made several moves to the bucket for tough finishes. Jimmy is also a good passer as he makes reads off ball screens. Look for him to make a splash in June.

[player_tooltip player_id='2433263' first='Drew' last='Bartolai'] 6'3 LVL 2025 (Lane Tech)

Drew was one of the first players that caught my attention this weekend. He's very athletic with strength when going downhill. Bartolai had several dunks in transition and even some off the bounce in the half-court. As a three-level scoring threat Drew should see his recruitment soar after the June period. He takes good shots and very seldom misses open looks.

Charlie Cole 5'11 Wisconsin Crusaders 2027

Cole is an active guard on defense. He managed to get his hands on several steals in the passing lane and also on steals on Friday against Team Ramey. Charlie on offense looked good from three hitting a pair from behind the arc.

[player_tooltip player_id='2323307' first='Lucas' last='Johnson'] 6'3 AR Elite 2026 (De La Salle)

Johnson is an active guard who uses length and agility to score around guys defending the rim. Lucas plays with Chicago guard grit. He picks up ball handlers full court and forces turnovers with his pressure. With his size and length he's going to become a college threat if he continues to lock in on what makes him stand out.

[player_tooltip player_id='2433605' first='Miles' last='Johnson'] 6'1 LVL 2025 (Francis Parker)

Johnson maybe had his best shooting display on Friday night against Gateway. In front of a handful of coaches Miles went on a run and hit 5 threes. He's a skilled guard who plays at a controlled pace. The shots he took all looked good and nothing forced. As he returns to Parker for a senior season look for Miles to be 20+ point scoring threat.

Devin Rice 5'7 Team Ramey 2027

Rice is a shifty guard who is a good facilitator and scorer. He continuously beat guys off the dribble with hesitation moves freezing defenders at times. As he got into the second level of the defense he dropped dimes to teammates who cut to the basket. One thing coaches look for in smaller guards are if they pickup full court on defense and Devin did a very good job at that. Rice also shot the ball well from deep and is a up and coming prospect.
