[player_tooltip player_id='1552444' first='Carter' last='Newsome'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2076264' first='Illinois' last='Central Elite'] 17U)

Newsome is a lead guard from Waukegan that played up on the [program_tooltip program_id='2076264' first='Illinois' last='Central Elite'] 17U squad. He is a high IQ guard that excels with his pinpoint passing. He makes sound decisions with the ball in his hands in both transition and the half court. Makes good dishes in the lane. Gets to the charity stripe at a solid rate and is a decent three point shooter.

[player_tooltip player_id='1874852' first='Myair' last='Thompson'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2076378' first='Old' last='Gold'] 17U)

Thompson is a point guard that been on the radar since last June with Kankakee. The lead guard is a plus athlete that has strong handles. Shake off the bounce getting to the rim where he uses his athleticism to convert at the rim. Sound mid-range shooter that pushes off his defense turning steals into points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2437117' first='Adrian' last='Serrano'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2076264' first='Illinois' last='Central Elite'] 17U)

The Waukegan 5'11” strong bodied combo guard has a stocky frame. He scores in the paint with layups through contact. Tough layup maker and also is a solid defender using his strength and hands on the ball.

Gabriel Jensen (M14 National 1 16U)

Jensen is a 5'10” point guard from Geneva that can shoot it from beyond the arc. He hit multiple threes in the game we saw. The plus shot maker is a solid passer and active defender on the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='2454180' first='Brady' last='Hairald'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2075524' first='IBA' last='Illinois Stars'] Black 16U)

Liked what we saw out of Hairald over the weekend. The gritty guard is a plus mid-range shooter that drained them with consistency throughout the weekend along with attacking the paint for scoop shots. The lefty also mixed in some runners and showed a good instincts all-around.

[player_tooltip player_id='2454188' first='Maharri' last='Thatch'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2075524' first='IBA' last='Illinois Stars'] Black 16U)

Thatch shined in their Friday night win. The Glenbard North point guard stands at about 5'10” with good ball handling. He is a good mid-range shooter, reverse layup maker, and plays well off his athleticism at the lead guard spot.

Donell Foreman (Slam City Elite 16U)

Foreman is a plus shooter that drained several threes in the first half of the game we caught. He is an active defender that loves to push off his defense going the other way for scores in transition.

[player_tooltip player_id='2429793' first='Robbie' last='Wilcox'] (Illinois Ignite Jarrett 17U)

This Palatine point guard is a 6'0” guard that is a plus shooter from beyond the arc. He drained three of them in a 13 point performance on Sunday morning. Also can deck it a little being a crafty driver.
