Dillon Bagley — SG — Illinois Attack
Bagley was certainly a difference maker for Illinois Attack on Saturday. The shooting guard proved his ability to impact winning on both ends of the court. As a point of attack defender, Bagley is excellent. He moves his feet well and has quick hands. He also is deceivingly strong and sturdy. Offensively, Bagley makes smart plays and can score when asked to. He shoots well when left open and also brings impressive elements of self-creation.
Jaxon Young — SG — Minnesota Crossfire
Young’s combination of size and skill is unique, especially at the high school level. As a scorer, Young does a nice job using his size to bully smaller defenders. I could see Young developing into a true mid range assassin if he continues to perfect his craft. I really enjoyed watching Young get to his spots and score on Saturday. He has a high basketball IQ which often leads to him being on step ahead of his opponent.
Marco Klebosits — SF — Illinois Attack
Standing at 6-foot-4, Klebosits’ size and physicality is imposing. In the paint, the small forward rebounds well and can score with ease. I was also impressed with his skills on the perimeter. He moves well and has fluid strides and moves. As the SF continues to add new elements to his game, opposing prospects and coaches will need to take note of his talent.
Luke Bleimehl — PG — Team Phoenix
In what was a close victory for his team, Bleimehl made several key plays down the stretch. The point guard served as the conductor for his team. Bleimehl made smart plays, passed well, and took excellent care of the ball. Even though his game isn’t necessarily flashy, he gets the job done on both ends. His play on Saturday was a major reason why his squad came away with the win.
Jamare Scott — PG — Wisconsin Rush
A strong and physical guard with plenty of strength, Scott is able to penetrate the paint and cause major problems for opposing squads. He finishes through contact well, which puts plenty of pressure on opposing defenders. Scott is also a scrappy defender. He doesn’t fear contact and relishes the opportunity to stick his nose in the action.
Drew Dixon — PG — 5Star Basketball
Dixon no doubt boosted his stock on Saturday in Milwaukee. He displayed characteristics of an elite point guard. The 5Star Basketball standout is a tremendous ball handler, slick passer, and more than capable as an offensive engine. Dixon also showed to be a great defender. With the game hanging in the balance on Saturday morning, the PG came up with a huge steal that sealed victory for 5Star.
Samarcus Gipson — SF — 5Star Basketball
The energy and intensity that Gipson played with on Saturday was noticeable. The 6-foot-3 forward consistently made extra efforts and it often led to rebounds or excellent defensive plays. Gipson also displayed some of his offensive skills, as he was able to knock down outside jumpers and knife into the paint. Gipson’s frame, athleticism, and skill combine to make him a great player on the court.
