Prep Hoops Florida hosted another premier high school basketball event featuring rising talent from the 2024-2028 classes. Saturday's Florida State Tournament provided 20+ AAU teams from 15U-18U a chance to compete against peers and to allow student-athletes to showcase their skills and compete against top talent in front of PH Scouts. Let's get into our Top Prospect Standouts from this weekend's event in Winter Haven, FL.

[player_tooltip player_id='2397027' first='Carson' last='Crawford'] | G/F | 2027 | Fleming Island | @crsncrwd12

This kid was instantly put on my radar before taking the court because of the incredible wingspan. Crawford is about 6-4 with a lengthy frame and good bounce to go with it. He may have shown the most upside for the 2027 class on Day One because of his ability to get it done in all three phases. He ended up playing up a grade level as well to get some extra work in before championship Sunday.

Kaneilius Purdy | CG | 2027 | Lake Wales | @KaneiliusPurdy

Purdy is rising to the top of the 2027 class on the gridiron so it was nice to get a look at him displaying his multi-talented abilities on the hardwood this weekend in Winter Haven. Purdy presents a football build and athletic mentality but showed off good body control to rack up points near the rim. He also had some ball-dominant skills and kept his head up to find his teammates.

Fillipe Frangie | F | 2026 | Mitchell | @Offical_Fillipe

Frangie was one of the taller athletes with good technique and balance on Day One. I left impressed with his overall game and ability to rebound and run the floor for his size. If he can work on his mid-range and inside game, I think Frangie can be a problem before graduation.

Bradley Cullinan | G | 2025 | Academy At The Lakes | @BradleyCull7

Cullinan had a complete and well-rounded game where he didn't force much and let things come to him. I saw him move around the court and guard various positions while handling the rock and knocking down shots on the offensive side. The rising senior needs the exposure with a season left where he can lock in some college interest.

Carter Padags | G | 2025 | Countryside | @Carterpadags

Coaches love to have reliable high IQ and deep-threat shooters on the team that complements the offensive scheme. Padags had an impressive Day One performance which earned his name as a standout. Excited to see what Padags and his squad can do on championship Sunday.

Ovaughn Nicholson | G | 2026 | Sickles | @_ovaughnn

Nicholson was likely my guard standout of the day. He was all business from game one and didn't let up as he was a consistent standout. He's shown off good skills when driving to the rim and got to the free throw line often. Let's see if Nicholson can replicate his output on championship Sunday.

Kyden Wiley | SG/SF | 2025 | Wiregrass Ranch | @WileyKyden

Wiley showed off electric athleticism on Day One which has to be recognized. He'd likely win a vertical jump contest if there was one today. This kid deserves some looks at the next level as he can excel in screen and roll sets, finish strong at the rim, and play physical defense.

Best of the Rest:

[player_tooltip player_id='2125501' first='Markel' last='Holmes'] | G | 2027 | San Jose Prep | @Markelholmes3

Jakhai Ford | G | 2027 | @Jakhaiford1_

Scott Simmons | G | 2026 | Wiregrass Ranch | @sscottsimmons9

Jordan Hanrahan | G | 2027 | BWM LEGENDS | @jordanHanrahan

[player_tooltip player_id='2125474' first='Damarri' last='Young-Grant'] | G | 2027 | San Jose Prep | @Marrigobrazy

Siled Morris | CG | 2025 | Ridge Community | @TheOnlySiled
