National Rankings Countdown: Class of 2029 (20-16)

<p>The time has come to introduce the first-ever National Player Rankings for the Class of 2029; a preliminary assessment spotlighting the class's most productive prospects also believed to hold promising potential for the next level.</p>   <p>The Class of 2029 made their initial impression on Prep Hoops Next over a year ago as sixth-graders. Since then, the talent pool has steadily grown, with evaluations spanning the PHN circuit and a variety of other events nationwide. Now, the group is in-gear for their seventh-grade circuit season, and with the anticipation of summer championships looming, there's no better time to unveil the initial National Rankings.</p>   <p>While acknowledging that we haven't evaluated <em>every</em> player, we've likely evaluated more than most, and this list serves as a credible placeholder as we continue to organize and expand our database of prospects. It's essential to recognize that <em>any</em> list is dynamic and subject to change; and this one is sure to evolve during the next five years. Today, as the countdown commences with the players ranked from twenty down to sixtieth in the nation, our team of scouts at Prep Hoops Next will continue to direct our attention toward the future!</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"># 20 Zion Lawson</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Zion Lawson is already making a significant impact for [program_tooltip program_id='2078535' first='Team' last='Charlotte'] in the 15U division on the UAA Circuit. As a skilled guard, he adeptly balances getting his teammates involved and scoring when needed. Despite playing two grades up, Lawson fits in perfectly, demonstrating a great feel for the game. His ability to navigate higher-level competition with poise and effectiveness highlights his advanced skills and basketball intelligence.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#19 David Whitaker</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">David Whitaker consistently gets things done when the basketball is in his hands, standing out on the Jr. 3SSB Circuit playing for AE5 Elite. Whitaker excels at breaking defenders down with his dribble and scoring effectively in traffic. His ability to create his own shot and navigate through defenses makes him a formidable offensive threat and a key player for his team. Whitaker has consistently shown that his game should translate well as he continues to get older.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#18 London Jackson</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">London Jackson has demonstrated an impressive ability to dominate in the low post and around the rim this spring. He scores efficiently near the basket and excels at pulling in rebounds on both ends of the floor. Additionally, Jackson stands out as one of the better rim protectors in the 2029 class, showcasing his defensive ability and ability to control the paint. His all-around performance makes him a standout player with significant potential moving forward.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#17 Symeon Watson</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Symeon Watson is a big wing with impressive skills and good length. He consistently makes shots from various areas on the floor, demonstrating his versatile scoring ability. In addition to putting the ball in the basket, Watson also has the ability to set up his teammates effectively when needed, making him a well-rounded and valuable player on the court. Expect to hear more on Watson as the summer season really heats up.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#16 Draydne McDaniel</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Draydne McDaniel oozes with potential thanks to his impressive length and size. He finishes well through traffic, using his physical attributes to his advantage.
