In a game that started very slow with both teams feeling each other out it picked up right before halftime behind the shooting of Lakers 2025 Wesley Kaman. His shooting would help open up the game to 1 right before half as he made two threes in the first. GGBC 2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1591339' first='Joshua' last='Backos'] made some spectacular plays himself attacking the rim with straight-lined drives and finishing some difficult acrobatic finishes. As the game went on WM Lakers had another player step up as 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='2423989' first='Landon' last='Storms'] played with a lot of physicality as he scored a few buckets where he was fouled in the process. This spurt helped the Lakers take a 7 point lead with 3 minutes left. GGBC 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='2410677' first='Brayden' last='Downey'] who is 6'5 was huge down the stretch as he made several energy plays to help tie the game. Brayden ran the court well and was the recipient of transition passes that he scored over the defense. This run helped Greg Grant Basketball Club take the slight lead. Kaman looked to answer back but was short on the shot. GGBC advanced to the Championship game.

WM Lakers have been rolling all weekend and this game was no different. Led by 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='2218020' first='Jaden' last='Bowman'] he went on a tear. Slashing to the rim for strong buckets using his quick second bounce to elevate over guys. Throughout the game Jaden was fouled many times due to being aggressive on the glass. He led all scorers with 22 points. But Bowman wasn't the only bright spot for the Lakers as Brenden Cargill stepped up and made a trio of threes in this one as well. Cargill moved well off the ball finding openings in the zone to knock down shots. He finished with 16 in the win. For the Blue Water Hurricanes they were in foul trouble for most of the game and got a slight lift 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='2385395' first='Malik' last='Thompson'] who hit 4 threes himself in what would eventually be a blowout loss for his squad.
