Tuesday afternoon STARS 16u Head Coach James Morrison discussed all of his Tennessee-based players. They are coming off of a 6-0 weekend.

We addressed the weekend performance of each player in isolation.

[player_tooltip player_id='1578715' first='Osby' last='Cavin']
Osby is a guard, that goes to Pope. He had a great weekend. Had a 28-point game against Atlanta XPress. We really needed it. They are huge and Osby lit it up from 3. It was a semifinal game in the Bob Gibbons Tournament. Osby was 42% from 3 on the weekend. He was 55% total from the field, including 2's. I think he led the team is steals, as well.

He played great. He played really hard. He carried us against XPress, a UA team. That is probably the best he has played all of season, maybe one other game.

Can he play point guard? Is he a point guard?
He needs to play point guard [eventually]. He will play it some with me. Our main point guard is [player_tooltip player_id='2349746' first='Carson' last='Asbaty']. Osby is getting better at play-making for others. He has really improved since the beginning. He is a junkie. I can speak to him almost as a coach, as an assistant almost, because he speaks the game and sees it well. I think he wants to grow into that [pg].

What is a skill he can improve?

Sometimes he can get a little loose with his handle against ball pressure, and that is an area he has to grown in.

[player_tooltip player_id='2349746' first='Carson' last='Asbaty']
Knoxville Catholic. Started for them. Had a big role. He will have a bigger role this year. He is maybe our best overall rebounder as a 6-foot-0 guard. He is a phenomenal rebounder. He has a knack for getting rebounds. He had a 30 to 10 assist/turnover ratio this weekend. He was second in rebounding and third in steals. He is able to really control the game and he is a phenomenal defender. Always in the right spot. He plays really hard. Shot 52% FG.

He had a +87 +/- .

[player_tooltip player_id='1947289' first='Camden' last='Cole']
He had a great weekend. It was nice to see consistency. Sometimes he can take questionable shots, but this weekend he seemed to be really locked in. He is a leader. He has a great voice. He is positive. Most of what he says is always good, which is sometimes rare with kids these days. He competes and wants to win. Plays with good energy. Our first team this weekend was Team Griggs (Charlotte). One of my best players got hurt and if it wasn't for Camden we might have lost. He had 18 points and hit some really clutch shots. He was second in steals, second in blocks, third in assists, fourth in rebounding [for the weekend]. He shot 44% from the field.

What can Camden improve upon in the next year or two?
The ability to...stay consistent. Play at a high level every single game and just be consistent. In terms of his game, I would off-ball defense. He has gotten better at rebounding. He finishes really well around the rim with right and left. His mid-range is phenomenal. He has the ability to hit tough mid-range shots. I would say his 3. His ball-handling and playmaking is getting better.

Isaac Brent 6'3"
Isaac goes to Ravenwood. He had shoulder surgery during his freshman and sophomore year, so it has been a rough go. He has been healthy for AAU season but not high school season, unfortunately. He had shoulder surgery on both shoulders. He was 64% FG, 18 points in the championship game against the Atlanta All-Stars and he had 15 against a South Carolina-team Saturday. Great rebounder. Great facilitator. Atlanta XPress played zone against us. I had him in the middle of the zone. He is great as an organizer. Big-time hustle guy.

[player_tooltip player_id='2573837' first='Carson' last='Dismang'] (Tennessee Heat) 6'7" good athlete
So long. Hands down to his knees. Phenomenal shot-blocker. Always gets his hands on things. He finishes well around the rim, especially with his right. Must improve his left. Lives in Portland, Tennessee. Can dunk with ease. Shot 70% from the field. He played 3 of the 6 games, after suffering a minor injury.

[player_tooltip player_id='1712729' first='Thatcher' last='Bond'] (Tennessee Heat) 6'0" lefty
He played for me last year too. He is just now getting healthy from ankle sprain. Great defense. I played 2-3 zone the whole game against Atlanta XPress. It was the only way we were going to beat that team. He had a lot of deflections at the front of it.

He was 3-10 from 3 and 8-20 from the field, but he has had way better shooting weekends than this weekend. He had 10 assists and no turnovers.

What is a skill you really want to see him improve?
I would say handling the ball with pressure. And the ability to make quicker decisions.
