The 2024 Big Shots Carolina Live was held this weekend in Bermuda Run, North Carolina featuring some of the Top Independent Programs from the Southeast participating in front of College Coaches. These five prospects are Guards that excelled by making plays for themselves and their teammates, setting the table for wins in the bracket-style event. Jackson holds all the qualities you want in a Point Guard: he is lightweight quick, has a great handle, makes good reads, and can finish around or through bodies in the paint. He keeps the offense flowing at all times and has a high usage rate with this squad, balancing scoring and facilitating well. He is a lefty Point Guard who has good open floor speed and acceleration which he used to beat different types of defensive pressure in a matchup with GA Knights. Jay'Quan is also scrappy and plays the game at a high-intensity level, which helps set the table for the rest of his team. He has a good handle in tight spaces and can get his own bucket when needed. They were victorious over Future Kings, a team that had been very successful in past Big Shots Events. Noch has great vision, can make all the passes, and can score on or off the ball. He knocked down three triples in the win to go with 17 Points and 4 Assists. He is very fast with the ball in his hands, makes good decisions, and is a perimeter shooting threat. Daniels uses his athleticism well on both ends of the floor through solid defense, rebounding, and finishing at the rim. He can get to either hand and is comfortable scoring above bigger defenders or pulling up over his matchup. He has a very good handle in all spaces on the floor and has good vision to read defenses. Simmons also has a solid frame for a Guard with long arms and the potential for more growth. He can score from inside and out and balances making plays for teammates with getting his own bucket well.
