Guard play is vital to a team’s success and the 2026 guards have the potential to make noise, especially the ones flying under the radar. Here are the 2026 under the radar shooting guards to watch.
George Boley

Boley
6'2" | SG
College Achieve | 2026
State
NJ
, 6’2 College Achieve
Boley has the potential to play on the ball at times, making him an intriguing prospect to watch in the class. The 6’2 guard has a nice release on his jumper and can get hot from distance in a hurry. Boley is more than just a shooter as he can also get to the rim off the bounce and finishes nicely around the basket. He moves well without the ball in his hands and slides his feet on defense. Boley’s ability to stretch the floor is something that will help his stock in a big way over the next couple of months.
JP Skoric

Don Bosco Prep | 2026
State
NJ
, 6’5 Don Bosco Prep
Skoric can also play on the wing and should put his game on display during the spring and summer. The 6’5 guard has a good handle, which he uses to beat his defender off the bounce and finish around the rim. Skoric does not mind drawing contact in the paint and rises up nicely on his jumper. He has the length to defend multiple positions on the floor and is a strong rebounder. Skoric is a lanky guard prospect whose ability to get into the lane off the dribble makes him a prospect to track.
Cliff Deguerre Cliff Deguerre 6'2" | SG Arts | 2026 State NJ , 6’2 Arts
Deguerre is one of the top shooters in the class and should put his shooting on display over the next couple of weeks. The 6’2 guard has a smooth release on his jumper and can knock down jumpers in bunches. Deguerre moves well without the ball in his hands, freeing himself for open layups and jumpers in the halfcourt. He rarely forces jumpers in the halfcourt and gets deflections on the defensive end. Deguerre is a sharpshooting guard prospect who should torch the nets over the next couple of months.
Jake Russell

Westfield | 2026
State
NJ
, 5’10 Westfield
Russell can also play the lead guard position and is looking to put it on display this spring and summer. The 5’10 guard has a good handle, which he uses to get into the lane off the bounce and finishes nicely around the rim. Russell can also score in the mid-range and has a nice release on his jumper. He makes smart decisions with the ball in his hands and plays with good instincts on the defensive end. Russell’s ability to run the offense and score in the paint will help his development in a big way.
Sean Collins Sean Collins 6'5" | SG Brick Memorial | 2026 State NJ , 6’5 Brick Memorial
Collins has the ability to cause problems on the wing with his ability to play either the two or the three. The 6’5 guard uses his size to see over his defender and shoots the ball with confidence from deep. Collins has a good first step and can draw contact in the paint. He is a strong rebounder and has the length to defend multiple positions. Collins has the potential to breakout over the next couple of months with his combination of size and length.
