Wednesday night PHI was in Carterville Illinois to see some of the top prospects in southern Illinois! Here we dive into the evaluations of the prospects at the event! We start with the class of 2025!

[player_tooltip player_id='1545140' first='Drew' last='Barrington'] (Carterville – 2025)

Barrington is a true floor general from Carterville. He is coming off a big junior season. What we like most about his game is the way he passes the rock. Such a great feel for the game as a lead guard. Slick ball handler that makes sound decisions as a distributor whether it is pushing in transition or in the half court. Likes to score in the lane with an array of soft touch finishes including spin moves, scoop shots, and floaters. Also has active hands on the defensive end.

[player_tooltip player_id='2381456' first='Cade' last='Brooks'] (Murphysboro – 2025)

Brooks emerged with a strong showing at the camp. The 6'2” shooting guard is a lefty that brings strength to the positions. Really clean looking shot that he knocked down from both two and three throughout the event.

[player_tooltip player_id='2381457' first='Grady' last='Cox'] (Herrin – 2025)

Cox is a wing that has good size and strength at 6'5”. He is at his best attacking off the bounce and scoring in the paint. Couple sweeping layups and shows solid athleticism.

[player_tooltip player_id='1766476' first='Race' last='Hickey'] (Marion – 2025)

Hickey stands at 6'10” and is up to 205 pounds. One of the tallest players in the state he gets a little bit better each time we see him. Was most effective getting on the offensive glass for second chance points. Shot blocking presence and is a good mid-range shooter that is flashing stretching to three now.

[player_tooltip player_id='2321427' first='AJ' last='Keith'] (Pinckneyville – 2025)

Keith is a prospect that has really emerged over the last year. The 6'4” two guard brings plus athleticism to the table. Really like how smooth he is as a scoring guard that can get buckets from multiple levels. Hit mid-range jumpers and threes. Also won off the bounce and got out in transition for explosive dunks.

[player_tooltip player_id='1548328' first='Chandler' last='Mueller'] (Trenton Wesclin – 2025)

Mueller played very well at the showcase. The 6'4” guard knocked down a ton of shots early in the camp. Made threes with a clean looking shot off the catch and pulling up. Also had a couple of nice dimes in the lane finding his big man for scores.

[player_tooltip player_id='1838836' first='Jayden' last='McCoo'] (Mascoutah – 2025)

McCoo is a long and rangy 6'1” point guard that plays taller with his length. Sound perimeter shooter that was able to knock down several threes. So slick with the ball in his hands slicing up the defense off the bounce whether it is in transition or the half court. One of the more under appreciated guards in the 618!

[player_tooltip player_id='2383264' first='Matthew' last='Smith'] (Mascoutah – 2025)

Smith put his name on the map at the camp. Didn't play much for Mascoutah last year, but is definitely primed for a big senior season and can play at the small college level. The 6'7” face up four man can really stretch the floor with his shooting. The athleticism played well on the offensive glass and even decked it for a couple soft touch finishes.

[player_tooltip player_id='2383636' first='Jacob' last='Waters'] (Viennia – 2025)

Athletic wing at 6'3”. He is a solid perimeter slasher that projects as a solid glue guy.

[player_tooltip player_id='2387585' first='Hunter' last='Webb'] (Vienna – 2025)

Webb is a 6'1” combo guard that had the biggest highlight of the evening catching a left handed lob in traffic from Barrington that he threw down emphatically! Well built kid that brings plus athleticism to the table and popped on both ends using his strength and bounce.
