Teams from New York to Arkansas and everywhere in between descended on the MidAmerica Sports Center in Louisville, Kentucky for three great days of basketball. As always, our Prep Hoops staff had boots on the ground providing unparalleled event coverage throughout the event. Now, the content will continue to rollout over the next couple of days before turning our attention to the Chi-Town Tip Off. Let’s begin with naming our All-Tournament teams. Here are the individuals that Scotty Burgess and myself have selected for the 16u All-Tournament teams.
First Team
The Golden Franchize Basketball Club 2026 was one of the more impressive teams at the Prep Hoops Grit Region Kick Off in Louisville. They finished 3-1 on the weekend with their lone loss coming by one point to a very good Better Than Yesterday team. Bass, a 6’0″ guard out of Blackman High School in Tennessee averaged 13.8 points per game while displaying excellent athletic and physical tools in the backcourt.
Austin Buescher
Austin Buescher
The best player on one of the best teams at the Prep Hoops Grit Region Kick Off, Buescher led his Better Than Yesterday squad to a 3-1 record while averaging 14.3 points per game. His combination of length, skill, and fluid athleticism at 6’4″ made him a consistent problem for opposing defenses around the basket. It was a really impressive weekend for the prospect out of West Jefferson High School in Ohio.
A second member of The Golden Franchize Basketball Club to be named First Team All-Tournament is this dynamic 5’11” guard from Rockvale High School. France led the team in scoring at 14.3 points per game as he consistently sliced up opposing defenses off of the dribble. His quick burst and explosiveness in the open floor really stood out throughout the weekend.

One of the most impressive Class of 2026 prospects at the Prep Hoops Grit Region Kick Off, Nicholson put up some big numbers while helping lead All In Sports Academy to a 3-1 weekend. The versatile 6’3″ wing out of Shelbyville High School in Indiana is a force off of the dribble and around rim. He opened the weekend with a 23-point performance in a win over Mavericks Basketball Elite and never looked back from there to earn First Team honors.

Wolf is a 5’10” guard from Orchard Farm High School in Missouri. He was excellent throughout the weekend as a perimeter scorer averaging 14.3 points per game for Mavericks Basketball Elite-1. The quick, skilled guard was able to create his own shot consistently both from beyond the arc and when penetrating. HIs skill level is high and allows him to control the offense when he has the ball in his hands.
