1/5/25: Versatile guard. Michael might be a small college “1” or a “2”. Bass earned a lot of time on the floor with Blackman last year because he defended consistently. You don’t tend to play much if you do not defend within Barry Workman’s program. In the intervening months Bass grew into a scorer and found his opportunities. He creates a lot of problems for defenders with his long arms and quickness.

The Golden Franchize Basketball Club 2026 was one of the more impressive teams at the Prep Hoops Grit Region Kick Off in Louisville. They finished 3-1 on the weekend with their lone loss coming by one point to a very good Better Than Yesterday team. Bass, a 6’0″ guard out of Blackman High School in Tennessee averaged 13.8 points per game while displaying excellent athletic and physical tools in the backcourt.
